Jollof Spaghetti is a unique and well known dish in my Country Nigeria. It is eaten by literally everybody. It can be eaten alone or eaten with protein of choice like egg, beef, fish, or Chicken. It is prepared the same way Jollof rice is prepared, the only difference is that it takes shorter time. It's one dish you can prepare easily especially when you're very hungry. The cost of it's preparation is also very affordable. Whenever I ran out option of the food to cook, or tired of eating Jollof rice, I usually make it. I will start by listing the ingredients I used in preparing it.
- Spaghetti
- Processed tomatoes
- Bay leaf
- Curry Powder
- Crayfish
- Onions
- Seasoning cubes
- Ginger
- Thyme
- Garlic
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
Procedure for it's preparation |

Break the Spaghetti sticks to a thinner pieces.
Wash and set it aside.
To a pot, add water to it and boil.
Add the Spaghetti Sticks to the pot.
Allow it to simmer for about 6 minutes.
Remove the Spaghetti from the pot and wash it again.
Slice your onions, ginger and garlic then set it aside.
To the pot, add vegetable oil and heat it up.
Add the sliced onions, ginger and onions and fry until it looks crystal.
Add the bay leaf, seasoning cubes, Curry Powder and salt to the pot.
Add the processed tomatoes and stir.
Fry for a while.
Add enough water to cook the Spaghetti to the pot.
Add the blended crayfish to the pot and also it to simmer.
Add the Spaghetti, then stir it.
Once the water dries up, stir the food.
Taste for salt, then turn off the heat.
Your delicious Spaghetti is ready.
NB: While cooking the Spaghetti, do not add too much water to it so it doesn't get soggy. Do not stir it often while it is cooking so it doesn't get burnt.
