meaning if election

an election may be defined as an act of choosing and selecting candidates who will represent the people of the country in the parliament and other positions in the government.elections Is also said to be a contest between competitive political parties or group for government power election becomes imperative as a result of impossibility of direct respresentation in the state .

Reasons why holding elections

• choosing of representation ; election makes it possible for the action to choose those that will represent their opinion and interest in government
• for changing of government: election serve as a process if changing government in the countryside through peaceful means

• it is also not prove to corruption because it is not easy to bribe all the voters

• it leads to violence and thuggery.
• many of the voters involved in direct election are illeterate who voted blindly
