Writing contest: Is artificial intelligence a curse or a blessing?
INTRODUCTION
Hello amazing people how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you are all having fun and enjoying your day, today I will be taking part in a writing contest organised by @udyliciouz titled "Is artificial intelligence a curse or a blessing"
Artificial intelligence has greatly become a part in our daily lives to the point that most of us cannot do without in a single day.
But all thanks to this contest which we all will get to learn about the merit and the demerits of artificial intelligence in our daily lives and I really do hope that this contest will help us to understand the role and implications of artificial intelligence in our lives.
IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REALLY INTELLIGENT? EXPLAIN.
At some point AI is indeed very intelligent because of its ability to perform multiple forms of task with ease and without getting tired that I will give it to it.
But when talking of intelligence it can never be compared to that of a human, yes artificial intelligence can process multiple task and solves complex calculations but it lacks the ability to understand and adapt to some changes both in its environment and that which it was built for
So in the case of rating if the artificial intelligence is really intelligent is that it's knowledge and intelligence are limited and cannot not over excercise beyond what it was built for.
CAN AI OFFER SOLUTIONS TO HEALTHCARE?
Absolutely, AI has offered great solutions to some healthcare problems in many ways beyond our imaginations, different machines are being used to access medical data and also help in diagnosing diseases and infections
CAN AI AT ANY POINT IN TIME BE A TOOL FOR MISINFORMATION.
Yes, AI being a neutral intelligence system can at some point be used as a tool of misinformation which can misinform the public and possibly lead them astray
The algorithm running the artificial intelligence system is capable of making a fabricated information to look so real in a sense that it makes people to be unable to differentiate between real and fake news
CAN AI BE A RISK TO JOBS AND HUMANITY?
The introduction of modern technologies has greatly be a risk to jobs and humanity in our today's world, for example the use of machines to carry out some certain tasks has greatly caused the labourers to lose their jobs especially at construction sites which most tools now adays are being handled by machines instead of humans
DO YOU THINK COMPUTERS CAN BE MADE TO APPROACH THE LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE FOUND IN HUMANS?
No, the reason why I strongly said "No" immediately is because humans are humans while computers will always be computers, so as we all know computers do not think and also do not have feelings.
Also a computer only follows instructions given to it by its operators for example a digital cameras purpose was to take pictures and can never be used to make calls or to chat
Therefore a computer can never be made to approach the level of intelligence found in human beings but there may be close since it is being programmed by humans but when talking of adaptation, response to stimulus, understanding etc there are no way closed
CAN INTELLIGENCE REALLY BE ARTIFICIALLY MADE?
Yes intelligence can indeed be artificially made take for a example a calculator which is capable of solving any form of complex calculations with ease and without stress
So you see intelligence can be artificially made and created but one thing that is certain is that it's limited according to what it was program for and just like the name artificial which means man made it will always be limited
CONCLUSION
Generally artificial intelligence has really helped our generation in making some of the most complex and difficult task to be executed in just a few clicks, it has indeed made life easier for all of us but as in turn failed to surpass human intelligence due to its limitated capabilities

Yes AI can definitely be used to solve various problems at the same time can be seen as a threat to humanity

Funny but well you are right because we humans shouldn't allow some set of machines to think, write or even draw for us
