THE MEANING OF EDUCATION

Since education has to do with teaching and learning which makes it an act and a process.
Therefore education can be defined as an act or process of acquiring and impacting knowledge, skills and also the right type of attitude from one person to another.

MENTION AND EXPLAIN TYPES OF EDUCATION

The three main types of Education includes;

-Informal Education
-Non - Formal Education
-Formal Education

INFORMAL EDUCATION:

informal education can be defined as a type of education which takes place in an informal setting which does not require teacher, time, curriculum and rules. In other words it is a type of education in which the young ones learn moral values from the elders In a given traditional setting.

NON - FORMAL EDUCATION:

this the type of education which is being given to children, student and also adult outside the normal school setting which includes practical and vocational education.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

formal education as we all know is a type of education thT takes place Ina normal school setting with a set up curriculum and qualify teachers, time, place, rules etc.

HIGHLIGHTS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EDUCATION AND THEIR OBJECTIVES

-Early childhood/Pre - primary Education
-Secondary Education
-Tertiary Education

PRE - PRIMARY EDUCATION:

Firstly we have the early childhood which can be defined as the education given to children which are between 2 to 5 years, before they are old enough to proceed to the primary level.

Then we have the primary education which is the education given to a child once there graduate from early childhood level at this stage the pupils are expected to be about 6 to 11 years of age.

THE OBJECTIVES OF PRE - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

-It prepares the child for the primary level of education
-It helps in molding the child's behavior

THE OBJECTIVES OF - PRIMARY EDUCATION

-It helps build in the children a sense of literacy
-It helps develop the ability of communication skills in the children

SECONDARY EDUCATION:

After the child 🚸 might have graduated from primary education level he or she will move to the secondary level of education which is divided in two the junior secondary and they senior secondary.

THE OBJECTIVE OF - SECONDARY EDUCATION

-Secondary education trains a child to be useful in the society
-It prepares the child for the tertiary education

TERTIARY EDUCATION

Which is the last and most Challenging level of education here when the children might have graduated from secondary education there will be qualify for tertiary education which are the universities here there will be given a chance to choose their course of specialty which there want to specialize in.

THE OBJECTIVE of tertiary EDUCATION

-it contribute to national development
-It prepares the teenager for the world

MENTION FIVE ROLES of SCHOOL TO THE COMMUNITY

They roles and importance of school in the community includes;

•It helps the children to think critically in the development of the community
•It provides educational opportunities to the children in the community
•It facilitate mutual growth amongst children in the community
•Nurtures a sustainable lifestyle amongst the children
•Promote equality by teaching the children the rule of law

MENTION THREE ROLES OF THE COMMUNITY TO THE SCHOOL

The roles of the community to the school includes;

•The community provides land for the established of schools
•Some philanthropist in the community helps in supporting the school through donations.
•Maintainance of the school infrastructural facilities and supervision
