Hello Steemians how is your day I hope all is well, I'm very happy to be able to attend and read through a lesson by @udyliciouz so I will be taking part in her home work task and I really hope that you all will have a lot to learn from my entry.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AGENCIES AND AGENT OF SOCIALIZATION

A lot of people are always very confused in differentiating between agencies of socialization and agent of socialization which I will explain the differences below;

AGENCIES OF SOCIALIZATION

Socialization as a process comes with different agencies which helps makes it occur, agencies of socialization refers to the channel which helps socialization to take place it can be the society, school, church, mass media etc.

AGENT OF SOCIALIZATION

---

On the other hand the agents of socialization refers to the physical and direct agent which influences and affects an individual there include family members, peer group etc.

LIST AND EXPLAIN THE VARIOUS AGENCIES OF SOCIALIZATION.

• School
• Church
• Mass media

FAMILY

---

The family can be defined as a group of people living together and are closely related by blood, marriage, adoption etc. The family is the first agencies of socialization because it welcomes an individual child into the society, and the family is responsible for grooming the child to grow up and be a better citizen.

The family is also responsible for teaching the child good morals and behavior which is the work of the parents and older siblings, and it is widely believe that the family has fale the society if they do not groom a child with good morals to grow up and be a better citizen.

SCHOOL

---

After the family being the first agencies of socialization the second agent is the school, the school is an agency of socialization which affects the childs life either positively or negatively in a sense that it teaches the child good morals, ideas and also some important survival skills.

While on the negative side school is also responsible for teaching the child some bad behaviors like bullying others, associating with bad friends and also being exposed to the world of gossip.

CHURCH

---

Church on the other hand is known to be the secondary agents of socialization which is responsible for passing down traditional good morals through preaching which either helps them socialize well with others or act differently according to their church doctrines and teachings.

MASS MEDIA

---

The mass media is one of the greatest and most powerful agent of socialization which has greatly affected the individuals behavior positively and negatively, the individuals are most convince by what there believe to be trending on the mass media.

Which today can be access with the used of computers, mobile phones etc the mass media is the only agent of socialization which really exposes the child to the hash, cruel also honest and simple world through visual encounters.

THE EFFECTS OF SOCIALIZATION.

• Socialization helps groom a child to be good citizens in the society
• Socialization helps makes a child to be useful in the society
• Socialization helps the child to be able to adapt freely to his or her environment
• Socialization also helps introduced the child to the hash and cruel world
• Socialization helps makes communication simple and easy to conduct between or amongst peers.
