Social Studies Homework: Safety in the home and school

Hello everyone and to @udyliciouz for always organizing such an amazing lesson topics for us to learn and today's home work topic is on "safety" which is one of the most important terms which is being applied in our daily lives.

WHAT IS SAFETY

Safety which is not a process rather an act can be defined as an act of taking measures in other to be careful in our daily activities so as to avoid getting injuries or accident which is an unexpected happening.

Safety is very Important both in our homes and our work place even in the road we are walking and just so we know that our properties too also needs to be safe from hazardous happenings therefore it is our sole responsibility to carry out safety measures in other to prevent this happenings or accident.

THINGS I SHOULD DO TO MAKE THE HOME SAFE

Just like there say that charity begins at home so some of the things which I should do in other to promote safety in our homes are;

• Keeping all breakables materials out of reach from children
• Buying a cat instead of rat poison to attack and kill rats and snakes in our surroundings
• Wet floor should be properly mob to dry to avoid slippery
• Keeping sharp objects out of reach from children

MEASURES TO ENSURE SAFETY IN SCHOOL

The school which is the primary and immediate social environment of every child some measures which can under taken to ensure safety in the schools are as follows;

• The students shouldn't be allowed to play around in the computer laboratory

• Students when going into the chemical laboratories should follow proper safety measures and to avoid direct contact with the chemicals

• The school authorities should check carefully and remove sharp objects from the play ground

SAFETY MEASURES IN WORKPLACE

• Fire extinguisher should be place in every room incase of fire out break

• All workers depending on the nature of the work should wear a complete safety wear like the welders, engineers etc

• Machines should be properly service before being taken out to the field for work
