Providing Motivation for Training Participants Who Will Complete Missions and Challenges

At education and training events for the acceptance of new scout members, we carry out various activities. At the event which lasted for 3 days, I was entrusted to be the coach and at the same time hold the position of organizing committee. This is a scouting educational activity that takes place in the city of Lhokseumawe.

I have been contributing to scouting education for more than 10 years with various experiences that I have gained. Scouting is one of the extracurricular activities in every school in Indonesia. This organization has been regulated in Indonesian government regulations, which are stated in the 2010 law.

The implementation of scouting education must be adjusted to the existing guidelines and norms. As the event organizing committee I have the responsibility to control every event implementation. This is to avoid abuse of authority and the implementation of education that is not in accordance with the procedures.

In the afternoon, we gathered all the participants to line up on the activity platform. Participants consisting of teenage boys and girls totaled 13 people. They are prospective new members who are currently in the selection stage to become permanent members.

Participants who have lined up at the activity platform are given the task of finding an envelope containing a name. The name will be the name and identity they use during this activity. In this stage they have to go through a number of challenges to be able to find the envelope.

I stand in front of them giving direction and accompanying them to complete this mission perfectly. As a scout, we are required to be a stronger person and able to complete challenges. Scouting education trains students to become individuals who are able to carry out their duties well.

This challenge will provide an implicit lesson for them to have an unyielding spirit. They will complete a number of missions and challenges that have an impact on the formation of their personality. Before releasing them to carry out the mission, I continued to talk and provide various motivations to foster enthusiasm for the students.

The formation of reliable character and personality is the focus of this mission goal. Scouting education is basically always aligned with the times and changes in behavior. As a universe organization, scouts always adapt to be able to compete with the times.

One of the actions to be able to harmonize with the progress of the times is to form a reliable, tough and unyielding personality. In the afternoon, we also gave them physical health lessons. They are also trained for the science of marching.

A scout must have a disciplined personality and focus on achieving goals. Mental strengthening is a part of spiritual education. We also provide physical strengthening through physical education and sports.

The participants who will complete this mission must have a strong and healthy physique. In the afternoon, I gave them assignments to practice marching and physical exercises. They did more than 50 push ups and muscle stretching exercises.

From this physical exercise test, we can see the physical strength possessed by each student. This is to avoid defects when they will be tasked with completing challenges. Some participants who do not meet the requirements, will not be included to complete the mission.

We always implement education that is in accordance with the procedures and level of students' abilities. We as the implementing committee must be more sensitive and selective in seeing the potential and physical abilities of the participants. We prioritize the health and safety of the participants during the training.

In the end, what we want to achieve is to create a young generation with character, toughness and talent. We hope that this education will be of benefit to the students we are mentoring. As the executive committee, I feel very proud to be a part of this event.
