Writing Contest: What is transportation?
Hello friends, it is me, @peace-woka, and I am here to share with you my post based on the contest challenge that was organized by the user @udyliciouz in this community.
What is transportation?
Transportation is the movement of people and goods from one place to another. In transportation, people are regarded as passengers. Transportation means things other than the movement of humans and their goods from one locality to another.
In simple terms, transportation is a means of supporting the mobility of freight and passengers.
Mention different forms of transportation in your localities.
In my area, which is Nasarawa Toto, we have different forms of transportation that carry people and goods from one place to another every day. Having said that, below are the forms of transportation that are available in my localities.
- Land (road) transportation
- Rail Transportation and
- Water Transportation

In my localities, land transportation is the most common type of transportation that involves passengers entering motorcycles, tricycles, and motorbikes to move to their destination. As you can see from the images above, you will see how busy land transportation is in my localities.
What are the benefits of transportation?
The benefits of transportation are numerous, and I have only listed the four main benefits of transportation.
- Transportation moves people and goods to different neighborhoods, states, and even countries.
- Transportation allows people to be busy with others.
- Transportation reduces human stress, like moving from one place to another.

Canoes
Canoes are the most common means of water transport that can be seen in even small bodies of water. It is a type of water transportation that involves one or two people paddling the canoes.
Ships
She is also a means of water transport that is used to transport goods from one country to another. Ships are the biggest form of water transportation. The ship is very big and full, with plenty of rooms inside.
Engine Boats
Engine boats are a type of water transportation that is mainly used for fighting. Engine boats are very fast, and they are not common except when there's war.
