Hi kids and fellow kids lovers in this great community, I am @patience90 and wish to appreciate @steemkids for this important contest topic this week.

But before I proceed, I want us to look at the meaning of A Child, Abuse and Child Abuse.

A Child is considered as a young human between the ages of 0-18 years.

Abuse is an improper, unlawful or incorrect treatment administer to fellow human being.

Child Abuse is the bullying of a child which can cause either physical, mental or emotional damage and also cause low self-esteem or make the child aggressive.

Child Abuse is the most common bullying against the children in our society and in my locality, the following are forms of Child Abuse

• Physical
• Emotional
• Sexual
• Verbal

Physical Child Abuse

This form of abuse is a situation whereby physical injury are inflicted on a child through beating or forced to carry out duties above the child strength such as lifting heavy basin of water, carry bunch of firewoods on the child's head, etc.

Both male and female children are at risk over this form of abuse and it can affect their physical growth and the possible ways of avoiding them is by lifting only what they can at a time.

Sexual Abuse

This is a form of abuse whereby forceful sexual intercourse is done on children and infact whether it is forcefully or carefully done, it is an abuse because the child is a minor because the child doesn't know their left from the right.

I believe both genders are at risk.
In our society, we tend to give attention to female child abuse thinking the male child is safe but I want to shock you that even male children are abused everyday but only few do open up to their parents.
This will be a topic of another day anyways

Sexual child abuse can cause a lot of damages such as low self-esteem, it can make the child live a promiscuous life from tender age, and it can affect their reproductive system if care is not taken and can cause child pregnancy on the female child.

The kids can avoid being sexually abused by being opening up to the parents about any kind of foul play by an adult towards them.
They can also avoid it by dressing modestly, be at the right place at the right time and avoid bad company.

Verbal Child Abuse

The Holy Book says

The tongue has the power to give or take life. Proverbs 18:21

And I couldn't agree less.
So many children suffer verbal abuse from parents, teachers and even guidance.
Yes sometimes as an adult, you get pissed off by a child and all you could think of is abuse but that is not the solution.
It can cause a permanent damage in the child's life because verbal abuses are just like pronunciation into the future of the child and the enemy loves picking bad things to fix into the child's destiny.
So everyone should be careful the kind of language you use on kids.
Some adult go as far as abusing the parents of the child, cursing the past and future generations of an innocent child.

Both male and female children are at risk over verbal child abuse and just like I stated earlier, it can cause a lot of damages hence the child may start misbehaving as the name you call him/her.
Names like fool, stupid, useless, etc

Children can avoid verbal child abuse by feeling their minds with positive thoughts no matter what they are called.
They should stay positive as their lives are in God's hands, then God can show mercy and revoke every evil pronouncement.

Emotional Child Abuse

I saved this point for the last because aside other abuses, emotional abuse is the most dangerous as it's the state of being and internal involuntary physiology response to situation.
This matter concerns life or death.
Every abuse on a child comes back to emotional as it's the father of all abuses.
Once the emotion is damaged, the child losses hope and sometimes, opt out for suicide.

Both genders are at risk of emotional abuse and if care is not taking, suicide or murder may be the end game.

Being positive is the best way to avoid such abuse.
The thought that tomorrow is pregnant and may give birth to good tidings.

In conclusion, child abuse can make some children aggressive towards everyone because they feel threatened and their only defense is to start being a threat to others first.
If there is anything, everyone should try as much as possible to avoid bulling and abuse on children and even adults.
It may not be easy for those who are used to it but by the help of the Holy Spirit, everything is possible.
