A farmer named Shyamu lived in a village. He was very good by nature. He had a farm which was very small, due to which his large family could hardly survive.
Shyamu used to work very diligently in his field, but due to the smallness of the field, the work used to end in a few hours. After that it was empty.
Shyamu found it difficult to spend his free time after work. That's why one day he thought that why not in this free time, he should be employed as a laborer on the farm of Seth ji of the village itself. Free time will also be cut by this and the lack of money in the house will also go away.

Seth ji of the village was a very good person. When Shyamu went to ask him for work, Seth ji said - "You don't need to work as a laborer on my farm. From today onwards, I give you the responsibility of the entire farm. Whatever the crop, give half to me and half to you."
Shyamu was very happy with this good behavior of Seth ji and started working on his farm the very next day.
He used to finish his farm work first thing in the morning and then used to go to work in Seth ji's farm. One day in the afternoon when Shyamu was plowing in Sethji's field, at the same time his foot hit something hard. When he removed the soil, there was a small earthen pot with a red cloth tied over it. Shyamu was a little scared at first but still with some courage he removed the cloth tied on the pot. As soon as he looked inside the pot, there was no limit to his surprise - there were many gold ornaments in it.
Shyamu could not understand now what to do with these precious ornaments – on the one hand, he thought that by selling it to a goldsmith, he would end the lack of money in his house forever; At the same moment thinking that this land belongs to Sethji, it would be appropriate to hand it over to him only.
After being confused for a long time, he finally went to Sethji's house. After telling the whole story to Sethji, he placed the pot in front of him. Seeing that clay pot, Sethji recognized it and said - "These are my grandmother's ornaments. I was trying to find them for many years. I did not find the place where these ornaments were buried. You have done me a great favor by finding them suddenly. You have done it. You must get some big reward for this work.
Seth ji, you have given me work on your farm, that's enough. Now I don't want any reward. Shyamu urged Sethji with folded hands.
Then Sethji said - "Shyamu, I know you are very hardworking and honest; but you will have to accept the reward." Sethji paused for a while and then said - i am happy to see your honesty, for this reason i will gift this field to you in which you are working. From today you are its owner."
Shyamu was very happy after hearing this from Seth ji. He was thinking in his mind that if he had forgotten his honesty in greed, he would not have got such a big reward.
