Social studies homework on Agencies/Agents of socialization

Greetings to all steemians. I'm really excited to do this homework as it is my first one. Having studied the lesson by @udyliciouz, I'll be answering the homework questions. This topic has really widened my knowledge on socialization and I hope you learn from it to.

Socialization is simply the process of gaining knowledge on behavior, values, and social skills that will help a person in his day to day life.

Personally, I believe the two should not be separated because they belong to the same family. They are slightly differentiable.

This simply refers to significant groups, or person responsible for the socialization of an individual. This includes how the person acts or respond to matters.

This is simply defines as where socialization happens.

There are various agencies of socialization. Some of them are:
Family: A family or a group of people living in the same home with a child can help in the socialization of the child.

It is often said that the family is the first agent of socialization. This is because a child eats, sleeps and relates with people in the home. There, he/she is taught how to take of the the home, do chores in the home, good values that are generally accepted in the society and also the importance of family. Children are easily influenced by what they see and hear so they tend to emulate the values which they see in the home like respect,love and honesty.
School: A school is an educational institution where learning takes place. Therefore it is very normal and almost impossible for one not to be socialized there. Various groups which they interact with helps them build different social skills like independence. They are in charge of themselves at that point and are free to make their own decisions. They decide who they want to be friends with and who they don't. School also teaches them time management. A certain time is allocated to different classes as well as break periods. Even classwork has time. The child learns on how to use the classwork time fast and at the same time do the correct thing to get a perfect score. School teaches them values like punctuality and neatness which they'll need in the future.
Peer Group: I term peer group as friends usually of the same age range. People in the peer group can be friends from school, church, home or anywhere.

Peer group helps I'm teaching cooperation. For a group of people to be friends, they need to be able to work together, give room for ideas and support one another.
Peer group also teaches Problem Solving. Socialization in a peer group often leads to problems, crisis, quarells and all. Here, the child will learn how to overcome these problems, though there may be consequences. A child has the chance to explore and go into adventures and see things for themselves and learn life lessons.

2. Socialization helps in reducing the rate of overthinking and depression.
3. Socialization helps in building good morals which is generally accepted in the society.
4. Socialization helps in shaping a child by disciplining when necessary.
5. Socialization helps in increasing better self-esteem.
