SEC17 WK:#1: Forgiveness unites family
Greetings Friends, today I will be presenting a real-life story that will highlight the importance of forgiveness and how it reunites broken bonds
So you finally recognized I am your mother, you are heartless, when you had it all you failed to recognise me. I can't even believe you called today, you rejected and disdain the breast you sock from birth, you are heartless. The word heartless repeated itself countless times in Emeka's mother's mouth as she was surprised to see her son who couldn't even send her a voice message or call for her confirmation of his death or life not to talk of sending money calling her to come to the hospital as he had a fatal accident.
His mum was so disappointed with him when she bumped into his profile after crying, praying and searching tirelessly for him and discovering he is a comedian with many views and his relationship with governors and politicians with whom he stood to snap pictures displays this. Worst of all he shows pictures of himself partying with girls who expose their bodies at the corners of pools.
The mother wept but decided not to tell his dad but unfortunately, something happened that led to his Dad discovering. The dad made a verbal proclamation of disowning him, Emeka is no more my son. What have we done to Emeka?, if Emeka has the privilege to be in that place is it wrong for him to recognise his family those who have always been there for him? His Dad promised to get him arrested if he stepped foot in his compound.
Emeka was busy enjoying his life, deceived by pleasure, till one day something striking happened and made him look for help as all the beautiful girls left him, a fatal accident, one that would have taken away his life. So after he called his mum and she said all those things in the call. From what I heard, Emeka sent money to his mum about 3 million naira to pay for her transport to and fro, location and house address that was when she discovered that for 2yrs he had been in Lagos, before her discovery she thought that he was in the US, if not for the pictures of some black ladies seen earlier. Emeka's mum was not moved by the money the mum already was a top officer in Nigeria's immigration service and the Dad was a medical doctor, she was more concerned about his son's character rather than his trying to entice her with money.
Everything was relayed to his siblings and his father was informed too, as a Christian family they decided to pray and ask for his protection and forgave him, while his mom made some preparations for the visit but that was after a week as a punishment to him. Emeka would have felt he had been rejected until he saw his family in the hospital and tears began to roll down his cheeks, his condition burst his family's tears bag, and they couldn't help but cry alongside. Years of rejection were forgotten. While Emeka was crying he confessed his wrongdoings and promised he'll never behave that way again. The crying session lasted for about 2 hrs.
To forgive is divine
Another incident happened that made Emeka understand how powerful forgiveness is, the doctor told him his condition could no longer be handled by medical personnel in Nigeria, and he was told he needed to go out of the country, china to be precise. The question that churned around him was who will go with him? Is it Mum who is an immigration officer, how will she do with work? Everyone was ready to go with him, and that is when he knew that forgiveness is found mostly in the heart of a family.
This story is not fiction but a real story, telling every bit will consume so much space. We got related to Emeka's family through marriage, one of my uncles got married to Emeka's mum's sister(last born), and I heard the story when Emeka had an accident.
I would love to see @jesuit15, @joojoo78 and @bessie2023 drop their entry soon.

After all, the family will remain, family, our parents love us most in this world, I don't know what usually comes over some people that makes them turn from their family. Thank goodness Emeka's life was spared and he could be reunited with his family again, thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you Mom, for your reply. Change is inevitable, humans can change. I am glad he regained his senses.
The storyline is so touching, emeka mom was being a mom at the first place, our parents depends on us when we grow up but emeka didn't consider that, even when he grow to became a comedian with a lot of viewers and followers, taking pictures with government and so on, he couldn't remember his mom like sending money home for food. Even with that he was forgiven and her mom decided to follow him to the hospital just to take care of him during his sickness. Mother love is so powerful and caring. We shouldn't imitate emeka, we should remember our parents when we make it in Life. Best of luck bro.
My happiness today is that Emeka has changed, as a Christian family they had to follow the scriptural pattern of forgiving emeka, emeka failed to understand that the family should be our top most priority. Thanks for your comment❤️
I'm also happy that emeka has changed, your welcome bro.
🙏Thanks man
