Thank you is simply a polite expression used to show gratitude and appreciation to someone for giving you a gift or for helping you.

It is important to show a grateful heart when people do things for us. A grateful heart will always say "thank you," no matter how small the gifts they receive.

I can only imagine how connected this topic is to the teachings of yesterday in my church. It was all centered on giving God thanks.

5 different occasions we can say thank you

For me, thank you shouldn't come occasionally; we shouldn't wait for that gift that we were promised or for that dream date to say thank you. Thank you is applicable to our everyday lives. When we look around, we see thousands of reasons to be grateful.

•For life; this should be the first thank you we say every day we wake to a new day, because only the living can say "thank you." Appreciating God for the life we live is the first step to being grateful. It only takes a grateful heart to be grateful.

•When your business is being recommended by a client; say thank you to a client who recommended your business to another. That simple thank you would make this client bring more customers to you. But when you don't appreciate the first deed, another won't come.

•Receiving a bank alert from a friend who sent you some money; even an ungrateful heart would love to be appreciated when he or she does something nice for someone. Everyone loves receiving the word thank you, but not everyone loves giving the word thank you. If you appreciate your friend sending money to you, he will send an even bigger amount next time.

•When people miss you and come to check on you; people who haven't seen you in weeks might just come around to visit you or even call you on the phone to ask how you are doing, but most people feel it's their right when people check on them, and for that reason, they don't appreciate that kind gesture. Say thank you when people show love and care.

•When people pray for you; thank you should not always come when receive gifts. A prayer from a friend can be appreciated, even if it's a word of prayer, thank you should come after it because it's not easy for someone to leave their problems and channel their energy on someone elses problem.

Thank you is as important as the air we breathe because it is our ticket to getting almost everything we desire to live a beautiful life on earth.

The Bible tells us to be thankful for everything, and there is no place where it says that only children should be thankful. Parents, do not show gratitude, for you are above it. I have never read that part; maybe if you have, you can share.

Everyone, no matter your status in life, should say thank you. For learning from a little kid, you say thank you even though you are their senior. Life is simple and sweet, and thank you, that summarizes it all.

The 5 magic words that say thank you are one of them. These words gladden the heart. It opens closed doors; it does so many unimaginable things, which is why they are magical.

Everyone—father, mother, children, grandma, uncle, and aunt—should say thank you; it doesn't have an age limit.

Just yesterday, Sunday, December 3, 2023, in the church service, the sermon was centered on giving God thanks. During the service, we were asked to intentionally give God thanks for all he has done for us.

I didn't hesitate; I gave thanks like never before. It was so intense, I felt it. I had the impression that God was keeping an eye on me. I counted my blessings and named them one by one. It was all a miracle service for me.

Just after service, my pastor asked me to go to him before I went. After a long cue that I was waiting to see him, I finally went to see him, and we discussed the father-daughter discussion. I was so blessed with those words from him, and on my way back, he called me back and gave me some cash. I said thank you immediately with so much joy.

As if that were not enough, while walking down to a junction with a friend, we were having a discussion as we walked, and in the middle of that discussion, he requested my account number. I asked him what he wanted to do with it, but he said I should call it first.

I called the account number for him, and on getting home, I was amazed by what I saw. I called him immediately to say thank you. It was a miracle day!

When you show gratitude and appreciate the little ones you have, bigger and greater ones will find you.

When you refuse to say thank you for the little, you can't say thank you for the bigger. So cultivate a thankful heart.

Always say thank you, for it opens doors to greater opportunities, blessings, unmerited favor, and good health.

Saying thank you means you are grateful, and being grateful means you are joyful, and if you are joyful, you live a healthy life.

It's simple logic! Say "thank you" today and enjoy life...
