MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD STORY AND THE LESSONS
Thanks to @steemkidss and @ngoenyi for organizing this wonderful contest to share my favorite childhood story and it’s lessons.
The title of my story is The Lion And The Mouse
A lion laid asleep in a cave, his great head laying on his paw while he rest. A little mouse came running into the cave across the floor. Since the cave was too dark, the mouse did not see the lion. Frightened the mouse ran, but in its haste to get away, he ran passed the lion’s nose.
The lion woke up and angrily grapped the little creature with it’s huge paw and wanted to eat it.
The poor mouse was scared because he knew the lion would eat him. So it asked the lion to spare it’s life and one day it will repay him. The lion being very amused at the idea of the little creature being able to help the King of the forest that made he lifted up his paw and in it go.
The mouse ran away to safe and the lion went back to sleep. Some weeks later the lion was roaming the forest as usual and suddenly he found himself caught in a net. He struggled to set himself but the more he wriggled around, the tighter the net twisted around it’s body.
Just then the little mouse happened to pass by and upon seeing the lion sad plight, he knew he could help free him. The mouse went up to him and soon chewed away the ropes of the net thereby freeing the lion.
The mouse then said the the lotion it has helped it little it promised. And so it has returned the favor been done on it.
Kindness is never wasted.
No one in the world is that small.
Such generosity is a beautiful virtue and looks very graceful when exercised.
The little body of the mouse, give us the pattern of a great soul.
Without good nature and gratitude, people had as good a life in a desert as in a society.
Small causes can produce great results.
I learned this story in primary 2 which was narrated by my class teacher and as an adult I sometimes hear it on television on kids channels.
I learned this particular story at the age of 8.

This is a beautiful story and indeed kindness is never wasted, we shouldn't be kind to people because of what we'd will get today but we should always be kind anyway because what we sow, we will reap.
Exactly 🥰
