Today I will share with you some information about Black Friday in this contest.

Black Friday is the day to buy good things at low prices.

In some countries, holidays or shopping days are also considered.

But history tells us other things. In 1869, after the decline in the price of gold in the United States, big businessmen and farmers went bankrupt.

Black Friday started based on the activities of JAY GOULD and JIM FISK.

Since then, the word “Black Friday” began to be used. Usually every store is in the “red” regarding their financial position after doing business for the year. Red means making a loss.

And that is how Black Friday started, by putting the retailer into the “black” the day after Thanksgiving by giving customers a good discount on the product. Black means profit.

The first Black Friday in the world was celebrated in Philadelphia in 1950, the day after Thanksgiving.

The government of South Africa has not determined any kind of holiday for this Black Friday. It would have been nice as people been saving their money hoping to buy good products at low prices and a national holiday would have helped not to miss bargains.

Stores are extremely crowded on these days and it is not funny to see people standing in front of shops from the previous evening.

Big companies around the world sell quality products at low prices one day a year to increase business sales. These sales can happen in store or online.

Not only does businesses benefit from Black Friday but also the man in the street by saving time and money. Black Friday a win win situation for all of us.

Black Friday announcement are watched from earlier in the week so that consumers can plan their purchases before the time making sure that they don’t miss buying those items they’ve been saving for.

Black Friday shops are very crowded, due to the increase in the number of customers therefore in many cases, the shopkeepers has to arrange a large number of security guards to manage the customers.

I think that it is best these days to rather stay at home and shop online. If you decide to do instore shopping herewith some tips;

• Make sure you know what you want to buy
• Make sure you know where you want to buy it
• Plan your route and
• Don’t buy on credit!
