CHILDHOOD SILLINESS 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Have you ever been there and you think back to a time when you were still young and you did something or a few things and now when you look back, you laugh out hard because you realize just how silly those things were?

Today I passed by a group of kids dancing on the street and for some reason, my mind travelled back the year 2009. I was 10 years at the time and I was still in primary school.

On a particular day, our neighbors were having a graduation party and my family was invited. My dad and mum had another event to attend and so they didn't go for the graduation.

Before they left, mom cooked a beautiful meal for us to help ourselves to when we get hungry. This is the funny part...the food mom prepared was nice but as children, we had the mentality that food served at parties was second to none. And so we left the nice food at home and went to stand in line at the neighbor's party.😂😂😂

The other funny part is that our parents had no idea that we went because we didn't ask for permission. The gateman pleaded with us not to go but we refused. We stood in line and when we got our food, we ate with smiles on our faces. I have a feeling that the gateman snitched on us because after like one hour was we were groving to the nice music, we saw mum coming towards us with an angry face.

She was so angry. One because we left home with permission and two because we didn't eat the food she cooked. Our big sister suffered the most because as the eldest, they concluded that she ought to know better.

That night, mum pulled our ears from the party up to home😂😂😂it was so embarrassing. We were then given a punishment to bathe cold water. It was so cold because it had rained that day and mum sat and watched us with a cane at hand😂. I will never forget that day.

Now I look back at it and I ask myself why i even did what I did but that's the beauty of being a child...it's the silliness that we cannot even see as sillness in the moment.
