Good day my follow steemians i will love to write on the topic divorce, but first of all I want to define the word divorce. A divorce happen when two people who are married to each or live together. They agree to sign legal paper that make them each single again. Marriage is an institution established by God for the purpose of companionship. However,it is disturbing that the institution is now facing a serious problem- divorce.

People no longer see divorce as a stigma. They now regard divorce as no big deal. It is, therefore,not a surprise that some couples restore to separation and eventually divorce at the slightest disagreement.

The fact that there is an alternative worsens the situation. Instead of entering into matrimony,many couples simply cohabit . The courts now recognise such common law marriages, and acknowledge the right of partners in such associations. The advantage of this is the ease with which one or both can call off the union.
Apart from this fact,many countries now enact laws that recognise the rights of the children born out of wedlock. This has helped to shoot up the number of such children in many civilised communities. Recently,a survey was carried out in an urban college; the findings indicate that about 40% of the students were born outside wedlock

The rise in the cost of living also contributes to the death of marriage institution. It is important for both patterns to be gainfully employed to be sure of reasonable decent level of existence. The marriage ceremony itself costs so much. Hence,many young men simply remain single, raising one or two children from ladies who are against the marriage institution.

This brings me to this brief story.
A friend of mine got tire of her marriage just about six months after wedding. She complained bitterly to me about him and told me that she has,conculded to divorce him she on to say that she was sure that she make a mistake. I did not respond immediately because i knew that i must tell her the right thing so i went home. And that is what bring about this question? what do women really want , many women have broken up with their spouse because the end up not being the husband they dreamt of. By they have forgotten that on their wedding day, was when the woman was commissioned for the new task nobody calls the man husband on that day but bridegroom,at times we need to be patience, nurturing , teaching, tending and helping someone to become what we really want them to be. It is therefore believe that a woman is the foundation of marriage when the foundation is faulty it lead to divorce. It's clear that many of us women have unnecessary expectations when we were getting married,we want some magic to happen to our marriage we don't want to consider the fact that the man does not no what is in our mind except we let them no. Our expectations are often too unrealistic, because we don't remember that change takes time and we can only expect something from someone that knows what we wants. So before you think of divorce have you given him time to understand you?God often brings people that are opposite of each other together in marriage so that they can help each other in their place of weaknesses.

In conclusion i hope that have been able to talk about divorce. The problem with many of us is that we don't accept people before attempting to change them we should know that we come from different background so it will take time for them to adjust. Stop trying to change your spouse accept them the way they are, love each other,care for each other, discuss the matter that affect the family and bring out the solution instead of divorce.
