Overnight at the edge of a freshwater lake

During the holidays and Eid al-Fitr celebrations this time we took a family vacation in Takengon City, this area is known for its high mountains and natural and cool natural conditions. Therefore, it is certain that many people are interested in vacationing in this place, especially at the momentum of holidays this city is like a magnet for tourists from various regions to come here.

I asked my wife to cancel going on vacation to this city, because I was sure there would be a long traffic jam, because I also saw the news last year of the traffic jam that occurred in this city during the Eid holiday celebration. But I couldn't resist the temptation of women anymore, so I finally agreed to go on vacation to this city.

My wife and her sister arranged a strategy, they prepared a plan of what to bring and what activities we would do when we got there, one of their plans that I knew was that while on vacation there we would all spend the night by the freshwater lake by renting a tent, then we would grill meat on the edge of the lake.

Finally we traveled from the city of Langsa to the city of Lhokseumawe, we arrived at midnight in the city of Lhokseumawe then we chose to spend the night for a while, then the next morning we then continued our journey by going through Simpang KKA (a shortcut to the city of Takengon).

Road conditions are badly congested when crossing mountain roads

Sure enough, along the way there was a long traffic jam, we could only walk little by little. Worse still, the traffic jam occurred on the way up the mountain. The car's engine screamed as it climbed because it couldn't take the approach from a distance, resulting in our car emitting a lot of smoke. We stopped by the side of the road and waited for an hour for the engine to rebuild.

The beautiful journey became tiring because we had to get stuck in traffic, but we remained patient. Long story short we arrived in Takengon City, we immediately headed to the location of the edge of the Fresh Sea lake to find a place for us to stay, we went to several locations looking for lodging he said it was fully booked.

Unfortunately there were no more tents that we could rent, but we and our families were still eager to find a place where we could stay. Finally we stopped at a place called Tedoeh Piyoeh, the owner of the place gave us the opportunity to rent a cottage located on the edge of the lake. I did some surveying so we finally agreed to rent the cottage.

We will spend the night in this place, we will sleep under a small hut.

Before we spent the night there the owner of the cottage first cleaned the place so that we were comfortable spending the night there, the service from the owner of the cottage was also very satisfying, he was friendly and also willing to help us if there were any obstacles.

We and our families are very happy because in the end we can spend the night by the fresh sea lake, initially the father-in-law had said let's just go home if there is no more place to stay. But persuasion and seduction by his children succeeded in extinguishing his intention to go home.

Arriving there, my wife and I wanted to capture photos by the beautiful lake, we posed several styles to be stored in the photo gallery. Not enough just one style, there was about 15 minutes we took pictures on the edge of the lake, that's how my wife's habit can be invited to take photos, besides taking pictures she also asked to capture the moment by making boomerangs to upload on Instagram. As a good husband I don't want to disappoint her, I just fulfill all her wishes when invited to take pictures together.

Night time came, we immediately opened the electric grill that was still neatly stored in the box, my wife began to heat the water. Meat and a number of foods were smeared with teriaki spices, then we also started heating the grill machine to cook the meat. Meanwhile, I was busy burning wood to keep our bodies warm, because since this afternoon the air temperature there began to feel very cold.

All the food tasted good and delicious because it was enjoyed together with the family, I did not get tired of asking for more side dishes because I wanted to taste all the food menus.

It was getting late, we immediately took a position to sleep. I slept with a jacket and blanket so that the cold would not make my body tremble even more. In the morning at 04.00 WIB I woke up, while waiting for dawn I played my cell phone, then immediately performed the morning prayer.

At 8am we left our place for the night, and our next agenda was to visit relatives around Takengon city and return to Langsa city.
