Drawing challenge for week #7: Draw a lion

Hello amazing members of steemkids community, I am glad to participate in this week's contest organized by @ngoenyi. This week contest is to draw a lion. Let me first brief you about lions.

Describe a lion?

A lion of course it's a mammal because it gives birth to it's young ones. I can say that the lion is the strongest animal and that's why its called the king of the jungle/forest. A lion is a wild animal even though on very rare occasions, people try to see whether they can train it to be a little domestic than a wild animal. At the end of the day, it's wild nature will still surface.

The lion has teeth and jaws that are very sharp, so sharp that it can tear any prey into pieces. In places where lions are located and they move freely, they usually move in groups or families.

What qualities does a lion possess?

A lion possesses so much qualities that makes it outstanding. Since lions move in families which is like a kind of group, you will observe that they protect their families as well as their environment or territory. They do not allow other animals whether of their kind or different to encroach into their territory.

The lion is known for its bravery. It's never afraid to face any challenge or difficulty that comes its way. The lion is competitive in nature, it competes for supremacy within it's territory.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

Well, lions are not common in my environment. Remember that lions live where you have very thick bush and forest. However, I have seen a life lion but that is at the zoo. The lion has been there for some years now. Other times I see Lions is on TV while watching some programs.

Are they important to man?

Even though Lions are not domestic animals, they are still important to man. It is usually fun seeing a Lion at the zoo especially when pursuing its prey to tear it apart. You observe how aggressive it is.

Man can learn some important lessons from them. For example, you learn never to give up chasing your dreams. Lions do not give up in anything they go for. Another vital lesson is to be confident of yourself whenever you face challenges.

Lets get to the drawing proper. Below are the steps I took to draw the Lion.

I drew the head of the lion first

Then i drew the first two hands.

Then i drew the whole body of the lion.

Then i colored it appropriately
