Drawing challenge for week #6: Draw a cat

Hello everyone, hope all of you are doing great today. Am glad to participate in this week's drawing contest organized by @ngoenyi. This week's challenge is draw a cat. Before I proceed to do that, I want to tell you a little about cats.

Describe a cat?

Generally, a cat is an animal with four legs, the body is super flexible. A cat has teeth that are very sharp. It also has claws, very sharp one that could be used to kill small animals. Cats could be wild or domestic, but I will concentrate more on domestic cats.

A cat has fur all around it's body. It has a tail which is usually long. Cats appear very beautiful and they come in many colors like white and black, total black, yellow, and sometimes the colors are mixed.

What do you like about a cat?

There are a lot of things I like about cats. Cats can be trained from early stage. So they are trainable. Cats are very intelligent animal that you can keep at home. When a cat has a mixture of colors, the colors are well blended and looks very beautiful. Cats are playful and you just need a small space to keep them. So they do not occupy much space.

Generally, to cater a for a cat is less expensive. The cat food is not expensive, which means they are less expensive to take care of compared to other pets like dogs.

Have you seen a cat before? If yes, where?

Cats are normally kept as pets, the way dogs are also used. Even though cats are not common in my area, I see them occasionally in my neighborhood. But recently, there is a cat that gave birth to four kittens in an empty land near where I live. After giving birth to the four kittens, the mother cat allowed the kittens to be in the same location for the next two weeks before she finally took them away. So I do see cats from time to time.

Are they important to man?

Cats are very important to man. They can be kept as pet at home since they are playful and can be trained. If one is depressed or maybe is emotionally down, if you have a cat as pet, it gives you that support emotionally. Cats can also protect their owners, even though when there is trouble, the initial response of a cat is to run away but it can really protect the owner.

Let's now go to the drawing. I am highlighting the four steps I took in drawing my cat. Materials I used are cardboard paper, pencil, eraser.
