"New DIY contest week30 begins// DIY//LETS SEE WHAT YOU CAN CREATE /

I always feel happy whenever I come across DIY contest. I have joined other drawing competition organize by @benton3 in steem4nigeria community. Now I have decided to show my little "Do It Yourself" skill in showcasing a talent people feels it impossible. What am going to present today is how I shave my hair on my own both front and back.

I can't remember the last time I went to a barbing salon to cut my hair. I remember back then my dad usually gave us a clean haircut using shaving comb and razor, but as time goes he bought a clipper, that is how we save the money we would have spent on barbing. Some years later after I moved to Lagos, the cost of barbing was on high side like 800 for barbing and 400 for shaving. I was forced to buy my own personal clipper to shave my hair on my own.

I bought the clipper on 2022 and I have been using it till date.

MATERIALS OR TOOLS USED

• 🛑Rechargeable Clipper
• 🛑Lighter
• 🛑Brush
• 🛑Powder
• 🛑Mirror (2 if possible)
  

STEP BY STEPS

First of all i use a lighter to burn the clipper as way of sterilizing it. Remember am only shaving not barbing so, I only focused on my front (hairline) side and the back.

I started the shaving my rubbing power on my face, I use the powers to make my hairline, or I can say drawing my hairline first. The reason why I draw it first with the powder is that, if the hairline is not straight I can easily correct it. With this, i would known here to stopped without tampering with my hairline.

After drawing the hairline I move on to using the clipper to straighten it. With the help of mirror in my front I was able to see what am doing. I straightened the line I drew with the powder from the front to side.

After straightening it, I checked myself again, oh, perfect, I go it right, I then move to shaving my cheek and my beard and mustache, I don't just like anything like hair in that area so i made sure I ironed it with clipper with no singer hair left.

To shave the front is always easier because you can see that your doing unlike to shave the back side. I place my phone on the table while using the mirror to check my back view. The selfie really gave me exactly the position I needed. I use powder to mark the back hairline after brushing the back side with brush just like I did in the front.

After marking the hairline, I stated shaving gradually untill I got what I needed. But along the line, I noticed the clipper making the unusual sound which is only if it about to off. While still shaving, the clipper suddenly turned off. I suppose to blend the hair together but I will do that when I charge it. That is how my shaving ended.

After the clipper went off, I cleaned it up immediately and put in back to it carton. I washed my face with water and then comb and brush my hair. My face looks different after the shaving. I will trimmed my hair when I charge the clipper again.
