HISTORY OF WRITING
Writing can be dated back to four ancient civilizations, Mesopotamia, Egypt, china and lowland areas of Mesopotamia. Writing was first used to document agricultural activities, but it has today been developed, people now write for many different purposes like finance, religion, government and law, till the extent that early childhood learning involves teaching children how to write and learn to read written text.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD WRITING
A writing must satisfy the need to which it was made for, it must be written with a purpose and a meaning must be attached to it, when a writing have a single and central idea (FOCUS), each paragraph support the central idea in relation to it, organization of a writing logically to flow smoothly and stick together with the appropriate standard English and error free sentences to make greater sense to the reader. Creativity also plays a great part of a writing, your ability to compose, make use of resources available to portray information that will make sense to the reader.
ADVANTAGES OF WRITING
*Writing helps portray information to a group of people
*Helps keep a piece of thought down to be used later in the future
*A good writing attracts monetary supports
*And a host of others
Sometimes making a choice of what to be written is hard, for instance, to write about a love poem, I need to put myself in a mood to write something that will sink deep to the reader, exact choice of words to the understanding of the readers is one challenge for me as a writing may be read and understood by a little group of people who understands the meanings to the sentences made, for instance a lay man may not understand figure of speeches, writing sometimes needs emotions so as to reach deeply the hearts of the readers.
HOW WRITING CAN BE ADVANCED
*Teaching the importance of writing and helping students with their problems will help to boost their confidence and make them enjoy the art of writing
*Reading about past writers and learning from their experiences will also help new writers

In general, witting helps to reach number of people in a space, and the exact choice of words and arrangement of sentences wont make your writing boring for readers, and it is advisable to have a subject and make your writings in accordance to this subjects as this would make the reader focused on the point you are making, So it is important to help developing writers to tackle their problems and help them make progress in their writings.
