It's a local norm that once there is a marriage, it is believed that the couples are looking forward to having children. Even with this expectation, very little or nothing is done to prepare this new couple for the joy and pains that comes with parenthood.
The joy often comes first in most cases and it's so pronounced that it radiates out and resonates among close friends and relatives.

This joy is a chain of events that starts when there is a confirmation that in nine months or thereabout, you are going to become parents!
It gets better when the day finally arrived and while waiting in anticipation, a surdden cry from a very tender voice becomes the leading sound in and around the delivery room, it's a clear signal that the baby is hear at last. The joy goes off the roof when there was confirmation that both baby and mother are fine.
I have had two of such events as seen in the thumbnail picture above. They are growing in their display of intelligence, love and loyalty adding to the joy we are experiencing as parents.
Our being able to take care of our kids, sustaining good health and impacting good morals have kept us happy as parents.

As parents, my wife I have adopted the idea that if you want to be happy, make the people around you happy and the kids are the first set of people around us as parents, making them happy ultimately makes us happy. And we hope to keep fuelling that chain of reaction that has kept us happy.

Symptoms kept building up and I had to call a friend who is a doctor. It was in the eye of the corona storm and the lockdown was in progress. He sent a number to call and the only thing in my mind was the fear that my little girl could be treated like a lab rat.
I have never been so afraid and terrified, the fear was intensified when I got to a pharmacy and after describing the situation the whole place was on red alert.

My wife and I decided to seek help from the children hospital. Getting there on foot under the rain helped bring down her temperature. And after a series of tests, there was no space in the hospital and we were asked to come back for three consecutive days.
There was No mention of corona, and during the treatment, we could tell that we were not going to loose her.

This gloomy period was as a result of I'll health coming up at the wrong time. Being sick during the lockdown was the worst thing that could ever happen to a person. To avoid being totally helpless in such a situation, I have put a first aid kit in place for emergencies.

This kit can take care of headaches, stomachaches, wound, burns and a little more.

We have had lots of happy moments as a family, but it is also realistic to expect some sad moments sandwiched between them.

As a family, we are still working hard to maintain our joy.
