Saved by Power-up
The saved by power up initiative from steemkids backed up by the club5050 initiative is designed to help build Steem Power holdings in members account. Au policy that encourages savings which ultimately benefits the individual members of the community and by extension, the community itself.
A power-up is a form of saving and investment which produces dividend in form of curation rewards which is somehow proportional to the Steem-power in our account.

This shows the status of my account before the Power-up. More power ups are needed to meet the target 1000 Steem power
The Power-up
The power-up process involves:
- Using the active key to login to my wallet.
- Then I had to select the drop arrow besides the Steem.
- I selected Power up.
- Enter the amount to power up
- click Power-up
- click ok
Account after the Power-up
After the power up my Steem-power has moved from 189.959 to 209.960 a difference of 20 Steem.
