Geometro is a character I created using geometric shapes as inspired by @mariajruizb in a post on Steemkids. If you will like to see the post that got me inspired, click here.

Knowing that Children are full of energy and the excess energy is spent running, jumping, hopping, skipping, shouting, and attempting some acrobatic stunts or moves that can get them injured. Involving them in holiday projects like the making of "Geometro" will be both fun and an opportunity to learn the different shape. Activities that are both fun and educational are classified as edutainment, a combination of Education and Entertainment.
Hoping the name Geometro would be a good match for this figure.

Geometro is a robot figure made up of the following shapes

I wish I could use more shapes like the different polygons. Here is a description of the shapes I used.

Cone:
A shape with a pointed tip, curved sides and a circular base.

Ellipse:
An Orval shape with two foci

Rectangle:
A shape that has four sides with four right angles inside it and its opposite sides are of equal length.

Irregular Quadrilateral:
They are like rectangle with four sides but the side do not have equal length and the internal angles varies widely but still makes 360°

Square:
A shape with Four sides and the sides must have equal length, four 90° internal angles.

Triangle:
A shape with three angles and three sides with the sum of internal angles being 180°

---

Trapezium:
A shape having four sides and Two sides are parallel to each other, but the two other sides are not.

Parallelogram:
A four sided shape who's opposite sides are parallel to each other and has equal lengths with equal opposite angles.

Rhombus:
A type of parallelogram with all four sides having equal length, with opposite sides being parallel to each other. It looks like a square who's internal angles are not 90°

Kite:
A kite is a four sided shape with Two pairs of adjacent sides that are equal in length.

Required items

• An A4 sheet of paper
• A pair of scissors
• Glue
• A pen
• Cardboard of different colours

Procedure

Step 1

Sketche a stencil to use for cutting

The blank A4 canvas with needed items.

Cutting and pasting the head with cap
