Food challenge for children week #12 by @madilyn02|| 10% to steemkidss
Saludos a todos
I welcome you all to my blog today.
As you may know, this is the week #12 of the food challenge contest for children in steemkids community and today I will be presenting my food as part of my participation for the week.
This week I prepared Yam and local palm oil sauce. I will show you the steps I took in making it below:
First step I took was to get out the ingredients.
It doesn't take much ingredients to make as it is a simple meal that we make almost all the time:
Ingredients
- Yam
- Palm oil
- Onions
- Salt
- Pepper
After getting the ingredients ready, I started out with the preparations
Preparation
First step I took was to cut the yam into smaller shapes so that I can start boiling it.
I put water in a pot to start heating up and after cutting the yam, I washed it and put into the pot to boil.
While the yam was taking it's process, I started making the sauce. For the sauce, u need the onions, palm oil, pepper and salt.
After cutting the onions, I put it into the mortar to pound it.
After pounding the onions, I put the oil in a stainless plate and out the onions in it
After putting the onions, I then put the pepper and later the salt to the mixture
After that I stirred them a little and then put it to heat for a while. After that the sauce is ready...
I then checked on the yam to see if it has softened. After checking it and it was soft, I sieved the water out and served the food because it was ready...
That is my participation and the food I presented today. I hope you liked it 🙂.
Thank you for being here, I will see you in next week's challenge....🤗
I invite @shulamite10, @nataliaugo, @fortwis09 to join in presenting their food for the week.

you've made a delicious dish complete with the recipe, it looks really good, I've never seen a dish like this before, in Indonesia cassava is usually made into a snack, and made into food like kulak and the like, good entry, good luck.
