Hello steemians, good day lovers of kids, I'm happy to participate in this contest organized by Steemkids. It's going to be wow.

Well, compassion on my own understanding is the willingness to help someone out in his/her pains. I can also say that compassion is having empathy, pity or mercy on someone in their state of suffering.

WHO CAN SHOW IT AND WHY

I can say that everyone is entitled to show compassion depending on if we have the ability to or not because sometimes we feel like showing compassion but the ability to do so won't be there.The reason we need to show compassion is because we're all humans and we need to help each other even has God had commanded us. If we show compassion to people it;will reduce the rate of wickedness, hatred, hardship and so on in the world and the world will be a beautiful place to live in.

HAVE YOU SHOWN SOMEONE COMPASSION, HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN IT WAS SHOWN TO YOU?

Yes I have shown compassion to someone before; I felt overwhelmed and happy, there was I day I was in school, I was tired and and hungry, so a friend of mine called me, I told him I was hungry, he told me he was around an eatery in uyo which is closer to my school, he said I should come over, so when I got there, he bought a very nice plate of meal for me, I was really happy. And just this morning my able boss@ijelady bought a pair of earrings for me in a steemian's shop, I was really excited.

EXPRESS YOUR COMPASSION TO SOMEONE IN A PRACTICAL WAY

There was a day I went to school for my early lecture, I saw an aged woman with two heavy bags, I understood the pains she was in and how she was trying to manage the two bags in her two hands so I had some pity on her, even when I wasn't heading to her direction, I decided to help her drop the bag first before I could head back to my direction.

Another occasion I showed compassion was on a nursing mother, she was struggling with both cooking and taking care of her few months baby and the baby was crying so when I noticed this, I suspended everything I was doing to carry the baby. The baby stopped crying and was excited.

DO YOU THINK COMPASSION IS A VIRTUE THAT SHOULD BE CULTIVATED BY ALL?

Yes, I believe everyone should learn and know how to show compassion on people, imagine the happiness that's always on people faces when we show them compassion, so it's something we should be doing on daily basis to make life a little bit easier for everyone.

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO SHOW COMPASSION AND WHERE?

I first learnt how to show compassion on people from my mum, as a kid growing up, I watched her sacrifice her happiness to make others happy, she'll be giving out even her to last to people who are in need.
Secondly I knew what compassion means when I read the Bible and I saw how Jesus was showing compassion on people. Bible portions like; Matt 14:14, Matt 20:34, Mark 1:41 and many other portions.
I learnt how to show compassion at home from my mum and in the Bible

HOW WILL THE WORLD LOOK LIKE IF EVERYONE CULTIVATES THIS QUALITY?

The world will be a very nice and wonderful place to live in because most of the loads and burden will be lifted from people's head and they won't start having evil intentions and thoughts towards other people.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion I will say that compassion is a virtue everyone should potray, we should show compassion to people around us everyday of our live.
