Hello house, it is another week of the Steemit engagement challenge for week 4 and I'm happy to share my entry in the ongoing contest here in the community.

This week brings with it another interesting topic which is called more freedom. Good contest tips have been given to help us attempt the contest very well and they are listed below so I will be using that to express what I understand by freedom.

What do you understand to be freedom as a parent or kid?

As a kid, I see freedom as the ability to do things without control from any external body. When you have the liberty to do what you want exactly when you want them, then you can conclude that you are free.

So freedom means not being controlled to do anything against your wish. You can do anything anytime you want to do it without any external control from anyone at all. This is when you know that you are free.

What can make you grant more freedom to your kids or what can you do to earn more freedom?

To earn more freedom, you need to show some sense of responsibility. When you can handle things rightly without any supervision, then you will earn more freedom from your parents or your boss at work.

I say this because they will begin having faith and trust in your work believing that you can do it with or without supervision. This is the only way you can earn more freedom from people ahead of you. Show some sense of responsibility always.

Advantages and disadvantages of freedom both to parents and kids

Everything that has an advantage also has some disadvantages and freedom is not an exception. Though freedom is everyone's dream or desire it also has some dangers when you grant it to those who don't merit it.

One of the advantages of freedom is that you will get to do your things without any control as I have clearly stated above. But the disadvantage is that if you are not prepared for this freedom, you may misuse it.

For instance, a child who is not well-nurtured can easily join a bad gang and start misbehaving simply because he or she is free. This can cause the destiny of that child or individual. So we need to be prepared or ready before freedom is granted.

What can cause one to lose the freedom he or she has?

There many things that can cause one to lose the freedom he or she has and one of them is crime. When you commit a crime and are taken to prison, you will be in a restricted environment that won't give you access to other things.

More also, when your parents find out that you are not competent enough to handle a simple responsibility given to you when they allow you free, they may collect the freedoms they initially granted you. So those are the few ways one can lose their freedom.

Why is freedom necessary?

Freedom is necessary because it avails you the opportunity to always do things at the right time and without waiting for permission. There is always this joy when you are free to do anything of your choice and that makes the work even more easier.

With freedom, people work more effectively as they do it at will. You do it because you love doing it and not because you are compiled to do it and that is why freedom is very necessary.
