Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more
Hello kids and parents, it's another opportunity to participate here, share my idea thought as well as skill. It was interesting coming across and interesting contest titled Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more, published by @mesola here in Steem Kids and Parents.
The title alone was captivating enough, I had to scanned through the skills listed only to find a drawing being included. Of course when I was in primary/secondary school drawing was one of my hubby and my friends knew me to be a good artist until now that I invest little time on it base on how I'm being occupied with a lot of task.
If I'm asked, why do you choose drawing?. Though draw is one of my best but my skills and passion doesn't base only on that, I'm multi talented. But I found drawing to be important because it allows us to express creativity, show up our cognitive skills and strength. Not just that, it helps with observation and attention to detail as well as visual communication most especially when it comes to design and architecture.
The above thumbnail photo is a picture of what I drew in rhyme to the contest, I didn't plan to draw but making good use of my cognitive I came up with something presentable which I'm going to share with you and the steps I used to achieve it.
I rush to my drawing tool box to pick out four necessary drawing tools needed to accomplish the drawing I had in mind.
My pencil, for sketching and painting.
My eraser, use to erase errors.
My sharpener, used to sharpen my pencil.
My ruler, used to rule a line. |
I used a used a drawing inspiration by the shape of figure two, when I was drawing a friend of mind who was watching asked, what are you try to draw?. I guess he was surprised seeing me starting with my unique still that appears similar to figure 2.
I knew I was doing, I believe at your first view you too many wonder how the drawing will end, but keep the watch something beautiful creative is yet to unfold it's just the start.
Here I began adding more curves to the previous drawing, making it different and shows a bit seriousness. But that wasn't all, it wasn't really obvious what was about to be achieved. I then moved to the next step.
As we can see, it has begin looking really when I sketched out the eyes, adding the mask and eye shadows. Here at this level someone can easily pick that I was about drawing a lady with a cover-all garment covering her mouth with nose mask.
But that wasn't all, I had some things to add to make it stand out and look a bit real. Keep your eyes in the next step and observe the difference.
Here in this step the difference from the previous drawing is obvious, I began shading the nose mask, so I did to the whole garment.
Behold the full drawing is accomplished, though if you observe from step one the drawing is very simple and understandable but beautiful. Immediately I finished, it was time to a open room for criticism. I showed it to about three of my friends to criticize and tell me how and what the drawing looks like.
I was expecting comment like, you made a mistake here or negative critics like that. But turn out not being what I expected as all their critics was positive and encouraging.
One of my friends immediately commented, ohh!! You drew a Muslim lady with their white abaya. The fun part is that at the process of criticizing I learnt a new thing, I never in my life knew that the garment often wear by the Muslim ladies are called abaya until today.
Thank you all for your time, I believe we've learned together. Since I found this contest interesting and worthy especially for knowledge seekers in the likes of
