THE EVIL EFFECTS OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE IN MY SOCIETY

Examination malpractice is gradually becoming the order of the day in schools today. In my words, I will say that "Examination Malpractice" refers to the act of cheating during examinations. In other words, it is an illegal action taken by students during their examinations to try to make good grades by cutting corners. Nowadays, Parents and teachers are the ones that also aids in students taking part in exam malpractice. This is really a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Evil effects of examination malpractice includes; expulsion, dishonesty, damage reputation, professional inefficiency, and so on. Children who engages in exam malpractice are likely to be disrespectful and dishonest to their elders and other aspect of life. Most times, they end up being fraudulent in the future when they occupy positions of authority. Another point here is inefficiency of profession. A student who cheated his way through his higher institution era will be incapable or unable to defend his certificate whenever the need arises.

Examination malpractice can also lead to expulsion. A child who is caught in engaging in examination malpractice could be expelled and eventually bring shame to his family and society at large. Sometimes, aside from being expelled, he could be imprisoned for years and when he is finally released, he would face alot of difficulties in getting a job because he is an ex- convict. This has led to the increase in the number of thugs and criminals we have on our streets today perpetrating crimes.

In Summary, Examination malpractice should be controlled in the society. Students should be discouraged from it and try to study and prepare harder for their examinations. Moreover, parents can discourage this by avoiding the payment of bribes for special centres for their children. There should be a reward for those who perform well so that the other weak students can be encouraged to try harder and put more efforts.
