Hello wonderful friends.. How are you doing today.. Its my pleasure to see you visit my post. And today, I will be sharing with you on the simple steps on how to make a gathers skirt. Read on;

How To Make A Gathers Gown

As you am know, am a fashion designer. I love everything that has to do with fashion. Clothes are needed in our everyday life, this is why fashion can never be outdated. Some people makes new clothes every week in order to change their wardrobe. So, I was less busy at shop today, then I started to think of what to sew or recreate for this particular contest. Then boom, I remembered that I promised my little sister a skirt. So, I decided to make it for her. So, below here are simple steps;

Materials needed;

• Material.
• Scissors.
• Chalk.
• French curve or ruler.
• Measurements.
• Zipper.

Step 1:

• I brought out my material and cut it out straight. A tip in gathers skirt or gown is that you make it excess, so that if you squeeze it, it will return to the person's actual measurement. So for her, I used 2 yards to her.

Step 2:

• After cutting it excess, I sewed a straight line on it by setting my machine on gathers level.

Step 3:

• Next, I used my hand to squeeze the gathers to her actual waist measurement plus the zip allowance which is one inch.

Step 4:

• After that, I cut out the skirt band using her waist measurement. I went to the ironing table to iron in order to make a neat work.

Step 5:

• I sewed the band on the already gathers waist part.

Step 6:

• Next, I brought my zip and attached it on the zipper allowance.

Step 7:

• I folded the down part of the skirt and made sure everything was correct and it was her actual measurement.

Step 8:

• Lastly, I brought the skirt home for her, she tested it and here is the outcome. Guys, rate my work? How does it look on her?
