Weekly Contest 08|| The Diary Game|| Black Thursday.

Hello, Steemians from all over the world. Greetings to you all and hope you all are doing great.
With a heavy heart, I am writing this to you. Today was a black Thursday and I still feel like sharing it with you. So, please read on.

MORNING

This morning I got up early as usual for school. Examinations commenced on Monday. So, as I was still getting prepared for school, then suddenly my colleague came to my house first to recharge his phone, and second, shocking news. One of our colleagues had kicked the bucket. He was the brain box, the most intelligent person, and the distinction taker in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He had been sick for a few days now. He couldn't start the exam with us.
I was emotionally down when I heard the devasting news. Therefore our exam for today was postponed until further notice. So, we seized the opportunity to go to his house to pay his last respects.

AFTERNOON

In a few hours, we were done with the burial ceremony and so we returned to school immediately to comfort our grieving hearts with some words of exhortation. We moved around the school mourning his death. It was a black Thursday for everyone, especially the electrical department. With a heavy heart, we returned to our respective homes.

EVENING

After returning from school, I had to sleep for a while not because of the day's stress but because I was still unwilling to believe it so I had to sleep and wake up to reality and find out if it was true. Alas, his death is real. Oh, God. 😭
At about 6 pm, we went back to school for the candle night in a bid to express how bitter our hearts were and to equally pay our final respect to him within ourselves (his colleagues) in addition to other junior students. The population was massive. This was to show how popular and highly respected he was during his time.
Kai, a legend gone too soon! 😭 May his humble soul rest in peace. Amen! 🙏
