The role of parents is to shape the lives of their children, which is very important in every family because the first place where one learns in his or her life is his or her home. Parents provide love, support, and security, which form the emotional foundation for their children.

Also, parents teach their children about values and morals so they can behave well in society. Parents provide education and opportunities for their children by encouraging them to be serious with their lives. Also, children learn about cultural values and habits from their parents.

What are the responsibilities and duties of parents towards their children?

• Providing children with basic needs and necessities. Parents ensure that their children are well fed, have shelter, clothes and taken good care of

• Parents support their children emotionally by being there for them, listening, and guiding their children to do the right things.

• Parents have the duty to teach their children moral and social training so they can know what is right and wrong.

How should we behave towards parents?

As sons and daughters, we have to ensure that our behavior towards our parents is acceptable by our parents through doing the following:

• Respecting, obeying, and caring for our parents

• By showing gratitude and respect to our parents when speaking with our parents

• By being obedience in listening to their guidance

• By supporting our parents in their old age

• By communicating with our parents

• By forgiving our parents when they have wronged us.

The role of parents changed in today's society based on the following:

• Technology and digital parenting

• Many parents especially fathers are involved in supporting their children

• Many families are now working and cooperating for the betterment of their children

• There is more emphasis on mental health.
