SEC17 WK:#1: Forgiveness unites family
Forgiveness isn't easy to say because of the pride that we have as humans. As a human we are full of pride even if you turn out to ask for forgiveness from someone whom you have offended or the person have offended you, you will be seen as a weak person which is exactly what scares most people away from asking for forgiveness.

The biggest thing that can happen to us is asking for forgiveness which is exactly what Madam Ngozi and her family did far back in 2015 It brings progress and peace to the family which you will get to learn from as you keep reading. Everyone needs forgiveness either from God or from our fellow humans because no one of us is perfect.
Forgiveness is the powerful tools that quench anger, stops crisis, and unites family, friends and so on. It is believed to me that forgiveness is capable of improving our mental health because if you are at peace with someone you will always be happy and be living your life in peace without thinking if someone is against you.
Madam Ngozi was a woman who was never at peace with her husband. She was lucky that she got married to a very gentleman who always seeks peace, and she took her gentleness for weakness. Every day it is either Madam Ngozi is into a fight with her husband, or she has got drunk and begun scattering the neighborhood with noises.

Anytime Madam Ngozi is quarrying with her husband, all her female children usually support her except the last daughter who enters their mixed and begins crying 😭😭😭😭, mommy, daddy, please you people should stop fighting Na.. Despite the cry of her daughter, she wouldn't listen, and the husband would just quietly walk out of the home. The reason why her husband was so calm is because he has lost his job, and it is said that money can humble and raise our ego.
On the saddest day, which happened around 5 am when neighbors were still struggling to wake up from their bed, Madam Ngozi and her husband, started again and almost took the life of their daughter. As they were fighting their last born rushed into their middle as usual which her mother didn't even know the time she pushed her down which almost led to her death.

When Abigail was hit down she fell on the floor and became unconscious and her father and neighbors quickly rushed her to the hospital. Abigail spent 7 months in the hospital before she was able to talk again. Despite what her parents did to her she still came out of the hospital and forgave her parents her mother felt the love their daughter had for them and asked others for forgiveness.

According to Abigail who is now a big girl, she said the biggest thing that has ever happened to her, which the government or anyone wouldn't have managed to give her, is her forgiving her parents which makes her to almost lost her live. The truth is if Abigail hadn't forgiven her parents, her Mom and dad wouldn't have forgiven each other.
According to Bible scriptures in the book of Colossians and Ephesians, I have understand the power of forgiveness as it is stated as shared below.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4: 31-32
Based on what I have witnessed in the family of Madam Ngozi, I have come to believe that forgiveness unites family, neighbors, friends, community, and everyone together. Today, as I write to you, Madam Ngozi and her family are a lovely family that is doing very well in my community.

If pride wasn't existed in the world, everything would've been done differently but because it is present, it's effect on people have made it difficult to forgive our fellow humans being, I'm very happy that love also exists in the world if not this would've turn upside down. I've seen people that refuse to forgive because of pride and I've seen people that try to forgive because of love. Let's us all love each other's and forgiveness will be easy to handle. I'm extremely happy because after all the up and down in the family of madam Ngozie, they're now happy because if forgiveness. Best of luck.
You are absolutely right that forgiveness is the tool which gives us mental peace. By forgiving, a person's mind becomes calm and the feeling of jealousy goes away. Forgiveness is the easiest way to unite the family. When the conflict in our mind ends through forgiveness, our mental Health also remains healthy.
