Food is one thing every living creature can't do without. I like eating good food which am sure you also like eating good food. Egusi soup 🍲 has been my favorite soup which I like eating. Here in this post, I will be showing you how to cook egusi soup in a very simple way.
Egusi is a soup that is made with ground melon seeds, a lot of vegetables, meat, fish, and various blends of aromatic spices that makes that are capable of making egusi soup look yummy. Below 👇 are the needed ingredients for preparing egusi soup.

- Egusi (Melon seeds)
- Meat
- Pkomo (Cow skin)
- Crayfish
- Red Oil
- Vegetable leaf
- Pepper
- Spices
- Seasoning
- Onion
- Salt
Once you have gotten your ingredients ready, the next thing you're to do is to prepare them before cooking your egusi soup. As for your vegetable leaves, you will need to wash and slice them, the meat cowskin, wash them, and put them inside.

- You have to first cook the meat, cowskin. Wash them properly, and put them inside the pot, then place them on fire. Add the necessary ingredients to it.
- Add ground pepper, onion and crayfish.
- Put your ground egusi inside a plate mixed with a small quantity of water and stir very well.
- After you have mixed the egusi you can then add it into the meat you are cooking. Be putting it bit by bit.
Add salt and seasoning
Add red Oil and allow to cook very well for about 10 minutes.
- Add vegetable leaves stir the soup properly and allow to cook for 2 to 5 minutes.

This is just my way of cooking egusi soup which I have shared with you. Note there are many ways of cooking egusi soup and trying this method I have shared might be an added advantage to your cooking skills.
