Hi steemains and kids @steemians community how are you all doing today,my name is john-opara david but also known as dave .

It been an amazing time in this community with wonderful and motivated people as you all who is so much eager to learn and improve on ourselves in all aspect

Today i will be starting or introducing what i call LEARNING IS FUN and it is centred on teaching we kids new things in different areas from ,lifestyles ,health and fitness to technology and science and even finance once a week all in a simple way and trust me it gonna be both eductative and fun

So today we will be looking at the topic BLOOD under this we will be talking about the components of blood, the function, the vessels that transport blood around our body .

before we begin i would advise steemians to always ensure they keep to club5050,club75,club100 rule initiative of steemit platform to help and improve the block chain thanks.

when we hear the word blood I'm sure what comes to play in our mind or what we think about is that red liquid that comes out of our body whenever we have a cut or injury yes we are correct

blood is a substance or liquid that circulates or travel around our body what blood does is that it carries both air and food to all organs in the body which makes us to live .

without blood in the body ,human beings and living things also cannot live and when there is not enough blood in the body it so deadly and can kill

so therefore we can also say that blood is the life of the body because without it no one can live.

we have different cells and components that make up the blood we have the red blood cells (erythrocytes)white blood cells (leucocytes)and platelets(thrombocytes) and blood plasma.

I will be explaining to us what each of these means and their functions to the body

RED BLOOD CELLS: the red blood cells are cells that contain a red pigment this pigment are respiratory pigment called haemoglobin.

the red blood cells is responsible for The Taking of oxygen from the lungs and its transportation around the body.

The oxygen taken from the lungs is what we call oxyhaemoglobin also red blood cells are produced in what we call the red marrow of larger bones in our body

WHITE BLOOD CELLS:these cells form the antibodies that fight germs and protect us from disease .

They are very large in size compared to the red blood cells and are found and formed in the lymphatic tissues

PLATELETShave you ever had a cut before I'm there something like an elastic skin that's clot your blood yes those things are platelets .

Platelets and very tiny cells of comparison to the red blood cell and white blood cell they are also formed a deep red bone marrow with a major function to prevent excessive loss of blood when there is a cut or wound on the skin it does that by cloting the blood.

PLASMA the Plasma is the portion of the blood that makes up to about total of 60 percentage out of the total volume of blood

it mainly contains water which is about 90% of it total volume , with other minerals such as salts glucose protein forming the remaining 10%
So we can say plasma is the liquid portion of the blood.

are we enjoying the station yes right so we talk about next thing the thing that makes the Blood being able to be transported around the body I will call them blood vessels .

as we all know that the Heart has a function to pump blood but this blood needs to be carried from the heart to other part of the body what transport the blood is what blood vessel

blood vessels are little tube like structures through which blood flows through and move around the body and this blood vessels are arteries veins and capillaries.

arteries: when the heart pumps out blood the vessel responsible for transporting the blood out is what we called arteries .

arteries are blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to all the part of the body

veins:The blood pumped out by the heart is carried away by the arteries but there is another vessels that carries the blood back to the heart which we call the veins.

The veins are blood vessels that carry blood from the body back to the heart

capillaries :this acts as a an interconnector between the vein and the arteries they are smaller compared to the veins and arteries.

Moving on we discuss the function of blood we we know that it numerous but i will be telling us the major four ...the blood in our body carries out various work that makes the body healthy and they are:

• the blood in our body firstly prevents cold by regulating heat in the body there by making us warm.

• blood clots due to the presence of platelets which prevent excessive lost of blood during injury.

• the blood acts as a transport agent by carrying food,minerals and oxygen to all part of the body

• also the blood carries waste product from the body to the large intestine .
