Story: The Forgotten Garden
The Forgotten Garden
There was a small village located in the northern part of Nigeria, where two girls who were best friends were known by the people in the village. Mary and Janet are the names of the girls. Mary had a Wild adventurous spirit to see things and detect things on time before they happened, the color of her hair always seemed to be in a stage of disarray. On the other hand, Janet was very calm girly, and thoughtful with her words, smooth, dark hair, and a pretty lady who always looked cute.
On a good evening which was a summer day, as the sun shone in the village, glow, Mary and Janet decided to go on an adventure. They had heard whispers from the village elders about a forgotten Garden that lay at the edge of the forest, a place once dangerous and surrounded by beautiful flowers.
Let's find it, Mary exclaimed, her beautiful eyes sparkling with excitement.
Janet hesitated. But what if what we want to get is dangerous for us to get because no one has been there for years now?
Mary grinned her teeth. That is the reason why we have to go. It could be our secret place don't you think so.
With a mix of excitement and happiness, Mary and Janet set off towards the forest. The path was winding and narrow but Mary and Janet they mind how the road was. Janet led the way jumping over the roots and pushing aside branches, while Mary followed closely, her eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.
The garden they went to was a very big garden full of flowers and colorful trees. In the center of the forest, there was water, and Mary and Janet went to the waterside and started dancing. Janet said this is very beautiful and Mary nodded her head and said oh yeah you are right.
Both Mary and Janet spend the whole of the afternoon exploring the garden, uncovering hidden nooks and crumbling pathways. As the sun began to shine, they found a small dusty old book lying on a stone table.
Mary picked up the book carefully and opened it. The pages of the book were filled with stories and drawings which was all about the garden. As they read through the book, they realized the garden had once been a place where people found joy and peace of mind, it was a sanctuary where people to visit to celebrate life. But for over some years, no one has visited the place.
Mary smiled and said to Janet we have discovered a place of joy in our time which I am so happy to be here, and as it is I think we should make things for the our loved ones.
