I really appreciate what you had to say about not having to go anywhere fancy to be able to enjoy quality time with your family. My partner is someone who always wants to "go away somewhere" and I am often the complete opposite... so sometimes we argue about this, because I always say that we should not need to waste money to spend quality time together.
Relationships and bonding are all about the people involved - not the place you are at - and yes, those places can make things lovely... they can be simple things like your trip to the beach for a simple walk. They can even just be playing board games at home together, or cooking together... or even having a picnic in your own garden :)
Then how do you find a solution to this difference of opinion, one of which is that someone has to give in so that there is no long debate, the intention of the heart is to strengthen the relationship, don't do the opposite, hehe.
Yes, we spend time at home drawing and writing of course, but today's children are different, they say they are bored just at home.
So we just follow our children's wishes, go out for an evening walk, stop by the game or even just buy snacks and then go home.
