Describe a kangaroo
Kangaroos belong to Macropodidae family, i.e mammals with big foot. They are considered to be the world’s largest marsupials. Kangaroo can grow two (2) meters tall and weigh 90kg. Kangaroo have long and muscling legs and a strong tail Which they normal use as third leg. The tail is so strong that they can even balance on it. They have small head with large and rounded ears, their mouth is small with prominent lips. Kangaroo also have short hair, excellent hearing and keen eyesight. Their hair complexion can be red, grey or dark brown. Kangaroo are herbivorous in nature. And they can possibly be found out in a bright sunlight, but they are more active at night and early in the morning. kangaroos are also good swimmers, and they can easily use their forepaws to drown their predators in water. Kangaroo feed on leaves, plant, and fruits.
kangaroo are also known their forward opening pouch. And a female kangaroo is known as flyer while the male are known as boomer. When alarmed, Kangaroos hiss and growl, and whenever females want to communicate to their offspring, they make clicking noises and males ‘chuckle’ during courtship. Kangaroo have pouches where they rear their offspring, and they give birth to one offspring annually, although they are able to keep extra embryos in a dormant state, One in their pouch and another in a dormant state.
What qualities does a kangaroo have?
Just like any other living creature, kangaroo have a lot of qualities. Below are the the list of some of kangaroo qualities
- they are lovely and caring to their offspring
- they are good at swimming when running from predators
- they are good runner's
- their tail is so strong that they use it to defend themselves from predators
- they can spend quite some days without drinking water
- they are very sensitive
- they are good at drowning their predators in water
Have you seen one before? If yes, where?
Physically I have never seen kangaroo, but I have seen both on television and on various magazines. I believe that I will get to see it physically someday.
Are they important to man?
Kangaroo are important to man. Below are some of their importance.
- they can be used for entertainment purposes when kept in zoos
- they are used as food in some countries
- their skin can be used making clothes and rugs
- their skin can also be crafted into water bags

I first draw the head, nose, eyes and the ears, as seen below.

I then draw the back, neck, and one of the front leg, as you can see below.

I draw the body and the hind leg as seen below

I then draw the tail and the remaining limbs.
