The most important thing to keep safe is our health, we should take a proper care of it and stay healthy. We should take note of diseases that are communicable and those that are not so we can tackle its transfer.
As we were taught in our primary school on what diseases are, and what communicable and non communicable diseases are, we would all scream its definition because it seemed simple for us. Our teacher brought an enlightenment on the examples of these diseases while we were being referred to our textbook, we saw pictures of patients that contacted some of the diseases listed. Someone just coughed in the class and we all gave a sounding look taking some steps away, the lesson really brought an awareness. We will be dealing on communicable disease and I would love to go deeply into it.

Chicken pox, symptoms, mode of transmissions and prevention |
---|
This is a very common disease amongst children, many people have grown up with scars gotten from chicken pox. Chicken pox is a type of disease gotten when exposed to a type of virus known as the varicella-zoster virus, when matured they form rashes filled with fluid on the skin and it sometimes covers the whole body, these rashes on the skin are very contagious. Some years ago, there was a widespread of chicken pox in the country but due to the introduction of its vaccine, it has reduced the spread drastically.
Symptoms
To know if you've been contacted with chicken pox, there are always symptoms of this disease showing up before you would actually see the rash on the skin.
- Tiredness
- Headache
- Fever
- Loss of appetite
The appearance of the pox after few hours will include, a rash filled with fluid will appear on the skin
Causes
This pox is contacted when your skin gets into direct contact with chicken pox patient, it can also be gotten when a chicken pox patient sneezes or coughs and you breathe in the polluted air.
Prevention
The most preferred way of preventing this disease is by taking the chicken pox vaccine, it acts as a guard towards the pox. Naturally you can reduce your contact with an infected person.
For people with the disease already, it's always advice that they stay at home till they all break. In school my classmate was sick, he stayed a week at home on coming back his skin was full with rashes filled with fluids, he actually wanted to get in because he missed alot already in school but the academics principal granted him permission to stay at home till he heals, he did that because it would have been transferred in one way or another in school. You know how fast diseases are transferred in school.

The most important thing to keep safe is our health, especially when it comes to communicable diseases like chicken pox. This common childhood illness is caused by the varicella-zoster virus and spreads through direct contact or air droplets.
