What are social problems

Let's get to break the term "social", is known to be a Cooperative association between people, or it is a group of people coming together to promote communal activity.

  • Social problem is known to be an act, behavior or ways of life which has a negative on the people at large, and it is considered as not acceptable by the people.

Causes of social problems

  • Drug trafficking: This is a state of smuggling drugs which is not acceptable or legal into an area, state or country. This problem is caused by a state of unemployment, many youths that are jobless, seeing the financial state of others that are into the business succeeding, are then convinced to join. And I should also say peer pressure is one of the reasons for this, as friends do take friends into the business convincing them on every angle.

  • HIV/AIDS: This is caused in numerous ways, but mainly caused by any contact with the blood of the infected patient. This can be transmitted through, sexual intercourse, sharing of sharp objects with the infected, having contact with the blood of the infected.

  • Cultism: many people are unaware with the dangers of Cultism, as the feel comfortable joining this group, with the aim of having protection and power, but after a while it comes to their understanding that they dug their grave too early. Peer pressure is also one of the caused of this, friends persuade fellow ones to join listing it's fake benefits. People also want to be protected by a group and they think this is the right source for that protection, but they will come to realize that it cannot be.

  • Corruption: This caused by the leaders of a group or country, as they are not satisfied with what they gain, but still want to have more, so they bring up corruption

  • Election rigging: It is caused by the fear of losing a position, and because of how attractive that position is, the candidate doesn't want to lose the chance so he moves in the election rigging.

HIV/AIDS

How it spreads
  • sexual transmission
  • blood transfusion
  • having contact with their blood
  • from birth, through mother's
  • sharing sharp objects
How to prevent it
  • Don't share share sharp objects
  • Abstinence from sex
  • blood test should be made before marriage
Problems of Social issues

  • To an individual: it may lead to death or madness, as in the death of drug trafficking. And it will also bring a bad name to you

  • To the Family: It brings disgrace to the family, as they whole society will know they are facing such problem. In the case of unemployment, will create poverty in that family.

  • To the society: will also create a bad name for the society, because group of families makes up a society, so they society is affected by this social problems.

Examination Malpractice

This is when an Examination candidate is involved in an unacceptable means of writing an Examination in other to pass the course or examination. This is an illegal way of passing and it is not acceptable throughout the world

Activities known as examination malpractice
  • Copying one's work
  • Bringing in chips, textbooks and notes that are not accepted in the hall
  • Impersonation
  • intimidation by cult members to lecturers
