Social studies: Homework on Safety

Greetings all and to our teacher @udyliciouz for always bringing up nice lessons for us to learn.
This topic safety has a lot to offer, as we all need to take these measures to be safe.

Safety is an act of taking measures to be free from injuries, illness as so on. Safety is mainly based on our life's as we always make sure we are safe. Our properties too needs to be safe from all other hazards and so on, so we need to bring on a safety measures to prevent harm and loss of lives and properties.

We do see in almost every electrical appliances we buy, we do receive their handbook which talks about the safety tips which you must know before oerating the item. We might see something like don't use this item with moist hands, and if you fail to follow this tip, you might get electrocuted, which might result to unconsciousness and so on, so we have to take the necessary measures.

Our home is where we all find ourselves, so safety will actually begin from our home, so the measures we would take are;

• Keeping away electrical appliances out of reach of children, appliances like iron, heater and so on which will cause great harm if not used properly should be kept out of the children's reach.
• we should keep rat and insect poisons away from food stuffs or item that will be used to prepare the food, as it can cause great damage if not taken with care, so we should keep clear poisons made for insects away from our food stuffs
• Any form of water in the home should be mopped properly to avoid injury.
• sharp objects should also be kept out of reach of children
• water leakages should be properly fixed in the home, as it might flow to where electrical appliances are kept and becomes a story for another day.

• students shouldn't be allowed without proper care and permission or without the guide of the teacher to get into the computer laboratory, as the student night want to plug I those appliances, without proper knowledge might be shocked in the process.
• Before getting into chemical laboratories, the teachers or lab workers should guide the students properly so they don't play with chemicals
• Playgrounds should be checked properly to be sure of no sharp objects in the playground
• The classroom should be conducive and not too tight and rough

• In any workplace fire extinguishers should be kept incae of any fire outbreak

• Safety wears should be kept depending on the type of work, like in a welders shop he should have these accessories;

• Safety glass

• helmet

• safety boot
  And so on

• machines should be properly checked before use to avoid failure during the work and also injury.

• safety measures should be taken when operating the machines in our workshop

• Alcoholic drinks shouldn't be allowed in workshops.
