Compassion to me is often regarded as having sensitivity which is an emotional aspect of relieving suffering from one person to another.

Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical, mental, or emotional pains of another person and themselves.
compassion also can be shown in words, in attitude, or even in actions.
Compassion is based on the cerebral notion, such as fairness to justice and interdependence.

Compassion maybe considered as rational in nature and it's application.

Compassion also can be understood as an activity based on sound judgement.

Compassion means " co-suffering with someone else on issues that doesn't particularly concerns you by going out of your own way to help.

Compassion is having emotional feelings for
someone else.
Compassion is the desire and action to alleviate another person's suffering.

Compassion again is generally the process of self kindness that includes accepting sufferings as quality of being a human.

Compassion is creating happiness to others, being optimistic about issues towards others.

Compassion is being and having the wisdom to help others in their situations for good.

Compassion is being curious to bring happiness and joy to someone you may either know or not know.
Compassion is having an agreeable character and heart towards others to bring joy and relief from bad situations.

SELF COMPASSION

*There's also an aspect of self Compassion, that is the ability to notice, care and respond to your own needs. This is placing a value on yourself.

*The ability to identify your own personal needs compassionately, solving them which will enable you connect to others, by supporting them and showing compassion on them.

*Nobody gives what he or she do not have.
This means that one has to show compassion to yourself first before trying it on others.

*By so doing, the individual involved will have more experiment great balanced health status than those who lack self Compassion.

THE BIBLICAL COMPASSION

Coming to the biblical aspect of compassion, there were many chapters and verses in the Bible where Jesus our servior demonstrated the act of compassion but I want to concentrate on the feeding of 5,000 men beside women and children, with 7 loaves of bread and 2 fishes in the book of Mathew 15v32 "Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, " l have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Another compassion showed by Jesus in the Bible is about the story of the good Samaritan.
Luke 10v33-35 "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

1. And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

2. And on morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee"

WHO CAN SHOW COMPASSION AND WHY ?

Everyone, every living soul can show compassion. Compassion is like cream or oil that smoothness and lubricates frictions and sooth rough edges of people's lives. Every language and tribes understand the action, language and aspects of compassion in one way or the other.so every human can show compassion.

Life without compassion can be so painful and boring. In life, no matter your achievements or acquisition, learn to bond with people of like minds. Be compassionate, learn to love others, learn to connect with others, these will bring so much relieve, healing, health and excitement to your life and others.

The song writer Mary Mackie and the genesis sang a song track that goes like this,

"You have got to try a little kindness, show a little kindness, shine your light for everyone to see, and if you try a little kindness, you will never go to blindness of narrow minded people, a narrow mind decieves"

Remember, compassion is a freewill, something you feel within you and it's priceless.

HAVE YOU SHOWN IT AND WHY

Yes I have shown compassion to many people in difficult situations in many occasions. Reason being that compassion is an emotional sensitivity God has deposited into human lives, it's an urge you can't resist the flow. It's like a merry go round, you will definitely need it from someone someday, if you can't sow it as a seed to someone in need, when you need it none will sow it to you. Compassion is like a seed.

When I showed compassion to someone , the person was extremely glad, because it was a relief to him at the moment. I gave him a gift of plantain from our garden when he really needed food for his family. He was greetful and kept thanking me for a long time.

HAS ANYONE SHOWN YOU COMPASSION BEFORE AND HOW DID YOU FEEL

Yes of course, I have been shown compassion in so many ways and I was very happy and relifed the memories of some of them have not left me, because some are unexpected while some were
expected.

DO YOU THINK COMPASSION IS A VIRTUE THAT SHOULD BE CULTIVATED BY ALL AND BE DEMONSTRATED IN A PRACTICAL WAY ?

Very sure, compassion should really be cultivated and be practicalized by everyone, because every living soul needs compassion at one time or the other it's in attitude and actions.
When compassion is practicalized by everyone the whole world will be at absolute peace.

HOW DID YOU LEARN TO SHOW COMPASSION AND WHERE?

Being a Christian from childhood, in the church biblical stories had been told me by my Sunday school teachers about Jesus' teachings like the two stories I have shared here about the good Samaritan and the feeding of 5 thousand men without women and children. And so many others like that, he healed so many people, raised some from dead. I learnt it from Jesus and from the church.

HOW WILL THE WORLD LOOK LIKE IF EVERYONE CULTIVATES THIS QUALITY?

Oh the whole world will be a place to be for ever.
People will relax and enjoy every labours of our hands. People feel at home wherever they are helped and accepted, compassion is it.
The world will be heaven on Earth.

The whole world needs compassion, everyone needs to cultivate the act and the attitude of compassion if they do not have it, it will go a very long way to bring peace and harmony to the world.
