Abusing a kid sexually hurts the child in devastating ways. The perpetrator betrays the kid's trust,robbing him/her of his or her Security.kids must be protected from such a wicked deed, child's sexual abuse is a sin against secular authorities and a sin against God. But how can kids be protected from being abused sexually?

HOW TO PROTECT KIDS FROM BEING ABUSED SEXUALLY

It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to protect their kids from this life time harm. You can do the following to protect your kids from abuse:

(I) Educate yourself about child's sexual abuse: Learn about the kind of persons who abuse kids and the the tactics they use to deceive kids. For example,if someone who appears more interested in kids than adults chooses your kid for a special attention and gifts,act quickly but be wise as such behavior may be quite innocent. Be cautious and alert to potential threats, always remember that in most cases the abuser is someone the kid already knows and trusts.

(II) maintain good communication with your kids: Do not only talk to your kids, but always listen to your kids. Always have at the back of your mind that kids are often reluctant to report abuse because of fear that they will not be believed,or they may have been threatened by the abuser to keep his crime secret. Be observant,if you sense something is wrong,or your kid is behaving strange,kindly draw your kid out by asking questions and patiently listening to her answers.

(III) educate your kids: some parents/guardians find it a bit awkward to discuss with their kids about sex and your kids may find it even more awkward, but for the safety of your kids give them sex education with age-appropriation. Teach your kids what to say and do if someone (even uncles and teachers) tries to touch their genitalia, breasts or buttocks. It very pertinent in today's world for kids to know that there are some people who want to touch them or get kids to touch them in ways that are wrong. Let your kids know that no one should ask them to keep secret from you,tell your kids that if anyone asks her to keep anything secret from you,they should always let you know, that no matter what they are told, even if scary threats are made or they have done something wrong themselves-it is always okay to let mommy or daddy know about it.

Kids can be protected from being abused sexually if parents/guardians educate themselves about sexual abuse, maintain good communication with their kids and give their kids sex education with age-appropriation.
