Drawing Challenge for week #6: Draw a cat

Hello amazing members of steemkids community, I am happy to participate in this week's drawing contest put together by @ngoenyi. This week drawing challenge is to draw a cat. Let me give you a brief about cats.

Describe a cat

A cat is a mammal that gives birth to young ones called kittens. In my neighborhood, we have wild cats and domestic cats. But I will be talking about the domestic cats. Domestic cats are not too popular in my area. Cats have their bodies covered with fur. Cats can really jump high, sometimes up to 5 times their height. Cats have four legs, they have good sense of smell and good night vision. In fact in my area, you see cats come out mainly at night.

A cat has very sharp teeth and claws. The teeth of an adult cat is about 30 in number. There are many species of them and they can appear in different color shades. Some species appear in two colors mixed together while others have stripes on top of the major color.

What do you like about a cat?

There are some things I like about cats. It is noted that cats are very intelligent animal. If you take your time and observe them, you will come to appreciate them. If you have a cat as pet, it is very easy to take care of it. The food is cheaper and you just need a small place for it to stay. Cats look very beautiful in appearance and they are playful. The kittens play a lot. Another reason is that they can be trained, they can be groomed to be nice.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

Cats can be seen everywhere. One of my neighbors has a cat as a pet. And the cat just gave birth to 6 kittens. They really look so beautiful.

Are they important to man?

Cats are very useful to man, cat serves as meat. Cats meat are delicious. Cats are major predators of rats. When there are too much rats in a house, you just get a cat. The cat will help reduce the number of rats immediately. In fact wherever you have a cat as a pet in a household, rats are usually not available there. This helps to reduce the risk of contacting those diseases spread by rats.

The presence of a cat helps improve health of its owners. For example when somebody is highly tensed up, having a cat as a pet can help reduce the stress level. You know that cats are playful, playing with them can help to improve the mood of the owner.
