Economic hardships are common in our today's world. Economic hardships has to do with the scarcity that comes with a negative turn in the economy of a country, state or village. Economic hardships come as a result of wrong choices made by leading officials in terms of finance management, corruption, reduction in employment rates, lack of jobs for citizens and some natural causes like drought, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions that cannot be controlled. These occurrences tend to leave the employed jobless as the revenue needed to pay them is not sufficient, natural disasters bring about a setback in the economy of the country making it difficult to achieve the set goals for that period of time and this in turn affects the well-being of its citizens.
When these economic hardships come into play, every single person gets affected in one way or the other. The family is affected the most and this is because they he family is made up of two or more persons. The children cannot work to get money and so they have to be catered for. When the parents are not able to provide the necessary things needed to keep the family in one piece, there's every tendency that the family will suffer a lot of setbacks.
Families are the direct set of persons that economic hardship affects. It affects families in the following ways:
- It changes the family's itinerary: when families face economic hardships, there tend to be a change in how the family is run. They might not be able to go places they used to do like taking the family time since the parents would always be thinking of how to make provisions for the family. This in turn affects the bonding that exist in such families.
- It brings about health changes like hypertension on the part of the parents as thinking could become their resolve.
- Economic hardships could bring about death of family members as the financial capacity to take care of sick members of the family due to financial scarcity.
- Economic hardships bring about increase in crime rate and disgrace to the family's image as some children become drop outs since parents are not able to make proper provisions for their education. Some children get to look for ways to fend for their well-being and could go into criminal ways.
- It could bring about disputes in family: when the family lacks basic things due to economic hardships, little things could trigger disputes and this could lead to discord.
- Economic hardships brings about malnutrition in children as they are only provide with whatever is available and not balanced diets.
- Economic hardships could make parents become indebted.
- It inhibits saving for the family's well-being.
- Economic hardships can make parents give out their child into child slavery.
- Some parents when faced with economic hardships, without thinking can decide to go into trafficking their children.
Economic hardships can be handled in the following ways:
- Reduction in expense rate: when there is economic hardship, families need to cut down on their expenses so as to have more savings to sustain the family for a long time.
- Gathering relevant skills that would help with bringing in income: during economic hardships, parents should be able to get skilled up with skills that are needed during the period of the economic hardship so as to bring in income to the family to ease the financial burden.
- Talking to the children and other members of the family: during economic hardships, parents should learn to communicate the situation the ey are facing and why some changes may occur, with the children that are of reasoning age and other members of the family. With this, the members of the family members will understand and the bond will be kept.
- Trying to feed healthy: parents should be able to do their best to ensure that members of the family feed healthy especially the young ones as this will help in preventing illnesses and malnutrition.
Economic hardships are periods in the lives of family members where they need each other to pull through.

Economic hardship is very common and visible now in some families, especially in my country. People with a large family members are really finding difficult to eat three square meals a day, you'll see some children looking so Malnourished because of proper balanced diet, they barely eat good food, they are just trying to survive. Times are really hard, please if you can lend a helping hand,do so. I believe that soon God will come to our rescue. Best of luck to you.

This economic meltdown has made the income of workers become useless in the sight of billings. Imagine billing becoming greater than the income itself.
How can an employee spend 70% of his or her income on Transportation. At this point, what will that individual have to survive? I hope this issue should be looked into thoroughly. Good luck on your entry.
