To forgive is not always a bed of roses neither is it a one time event. It always requires humility and to let off ego and pride.

Forgiveness truly requires humility. One who is proud and full of ego would not see the need to forgive and would only continue to hold on to the hurt he/she feels and might possibly want to get a revenge .
