Goodybest Diary Monday 17th June 2024: Picking Up My Kid's Glasses 🕶️

Dear Diary,

Monday was a wonderful day for us, as I finally got my kid's glasses and my blue cut glass too. Though the condition of their eyesight is minor, yes they could read without struggling, and watch TV too, but I had to salvage the situation before it got out of hand, I'm grateful that I discovered about my children's vision problem early on, and I'm also grateful to the optician who helped us rectify the problem.

We scheduled an appointment last week, and everything was finalized, we chose our different frames and I paid for everything, but we didn't get our glasses, we were told that they have to make our glasses according to prescription and that they would call me to come and get it when it's ready. I left the clinic satisfied and relieved 😌

Fast forward to Monday, I received a call from their customer service to come and pick up our glasses, that it was ready. I broke the news to my kids and they were ecstatic. I decided to go there by 4 in the evening, so during the morning time I prepared delicious fried rice, chicken, and salad for breakfast and we down it with homemade pineapple 🍍 juice.

I carried out petty house chores and when it was 2 PM I prepared lunch garri and soup for the kids when they were done we all got ready and left for the eye clinic around 4 pm.

Getting there we were welcomed by their workers and I was given my blue-cut glass first

The glass looks so gorgeous on me, in no time my kids were given there in no long time, they couldn't wait to try the glasses on and test them I was impressed with how cool the glasses looked on them! Need I tell you? My baby was dragging their glasses so I had to go and buy an ordinary glass for her, and there was peace.

They were so happy and It was heartwarming to see them happy and relieved that their eyesight was finally clear, I was sensitized on how to take care of the glasses, and we were given casing for the glasses.

In conclusion, getting glasses for my children has been a positive experience. I'm grateful for the professionals who made the journey smooth and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to seeing my children excel academically because coming back from school today, they told me that they could see the board so clearly!
