I trust you're great, as for me I'm pretty cool! it's my pleasure to join in this amazing contest yes I couldn't resist because education is just so important, it is every child's right it helps in every aspect of life, personal development and enlightenment. In this contest I will define what education is, why it is important to a child, and things done in my locality to embrace modern education.

Education is the process of making learning or acquisition of skills, knowledge, habits, morals, beliefs, and values easier for personal development. Education comes in different settings it could be informal or formal and it has different methods which is training, storytelling, teaching, research and discussion. An educator, a guidance or one's parents can educate others. There are stages of formal education, we have the kindergarten or preschool, the primary school, secondary school, the college, university and even the apprenticeship.

The important of education to a child's life can't be overemphasize. Oh you're reading me me now, then thanks to education, thank a teacher! yes education help a child to learn how to read and write, how to speak, it helps a child to think critically, to know right from wrong and to communicate effectively. Education helps a child to understand the world around him/her and how it works.

Have you ever heard something like, "don't blame him he's not educated" or things like "why are you behaving like, or speaking like an uneducated person?" Yes this is because education enlightened the life of a child, it will help them to make informed decisions.

Well my answer to this question is from birth, yes studies shows that children born as white slate, what I mean is that their brains is normally blank nothing written on it at birth and between 0month- 8years of age their brains are growing rapidly and because of this learning will be made easier during this period of time. Learning at this stage is crucial because it will lay a good and solid foundation for our kids, of which the rest of their lives will be built upon. Education at Early days will set children up for success! It will give them edge later in their lives, they will perform well academically, truly they will find pleasure in learning because they've been inculcated with the love of learning on their early stage of life, as such they will not be frustrated and fall behind.

On before the invention of modern education was a traditional education, the traditional education instill good manners skills, values to the next generation for their survival. It teaches the students the customs and traditions of their society, there was nothing like science and technology. Only few children gain access to this type of education, only the royalty, the minor and the poor were discriminated and not allowed to enjoyed this type of education, children were only learning from their parents and their hand works.

The establishment of the Democratic government brings about modern education that was when school was opened for all, yeah every child was given the right to education.

In my locality government made modern education accessible to all by first of all building both primary/secondary schools in different villages, colleges and universities are rampant all over the States, this makes it easier for people to access modern education.

More to that there's what is known as Free universal basic education in my state, meaning primary and secondary education is totally free and compulsory. Every child in my locality have access to this education, no child is allow to stay at home or hawks in the name of there's no money to go to school, because education at this stage is free and compulsory.

Government put in place that if a child between the ages of 5-18years of age is found on the road hawking during school hours should be arrested by the police.

This is good because education is the key to success, a key to successful society, an enlightened one at that, so at least every child will have the opportunity to read and write, and to learn about science and technology because kids at this level are being taught Mathematics, language skills, basic science and technology. Moreover modern technologies are being used to taught this kids the provisions of visual aids like the projector is used, so that they can see with their eyes whatever is being taught. This are some of the few things among others that is done in my locality to embrace modern education.

In conclusion, parents should try and give their kids high quality education at their early years, whatever you want your child to become teach them at that tender age, instill in them the fear of God, obedience and love of learning during this stage and they will grow up with it.
