SEC S11-W4 | More freedom
Hello greetings to all steemians friends wherever they are, how are you today? Hopefully everyone is still in good health and can carry out all activities well. On this occasion I am back to participate in a contest held by the Steem Kids & Parents Community in the Season 11 Week 4 Steemit Engagement Challenge with the contest theme: "More freedom"
Freedom is an ability to do what one wants, or rights with the gifts and strengths one has. With freedom, one can have the ability to act or change without restriction. Something is said to be "free" if it can change easily and is not restricted in its current state. Everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want, but there are still limitations that must be obeyed. Likewise in a family, freedom is the right of every child to determine what is best for himself.
Even though they have freedom, every child must follow all the rules that have been set together in a family. These rules must be obeyed will be able to affect his future in the future. Parents also have the right to make rules in the family that cannot be violated and of course it has become an agreement. If you violate there will be consequences that must be accepted. Freedom of expression in the family is the most important thing. Without freedom, it may cause children to become constrained and will be fatal to their development.
Giving freedom to children in a family will provide many positive things for the child. But it must still be monitored so that children in exercising that freedom do not fall into dangerous things. Personally, my child is still small, so the form of freedom that I give does not have a big impact. But I always give space for my child to do things that don't harm him. This also applies at school, in teaching in class I always give freedom to students to explore the talents and interests that exist in children.
In the current era of globalization, there are so many challenges faced by children, especially how they place themselves, especially in cyberspace. If one step will cause problems for themselves. Nowadays, children are very free to access any information via the internet on their respective devices at any time. Of course this can provide advantages and disadvantages depending on how children access information.
If children cannot use the freedom given by their parents wisely, then one day their parents will definitely not trust them anymore. As a result, the child will not get freedom from his parents again. Freedom is very much needed, especially for children's development, but control from parents is absolutely necessary so that freedom can be used properly and there are no wrong steps. Giving freedom to children is not an easy thing, but if the child has gone astray, parents must be firm.

I won't agree less with that, you are very correct in that statement. Freedom is about letting them be themselves around you and in your absence. So they figure out what they can do and how they can go about it. Your duty as a parent is to guide them.
Everyone is entitled to freedom, hence it's a necessity but you have to create a conducive environment as you can't throw your child into the midst of wolves in the name of freedom. Good luck my friend.

What is also true is that it MUST be controlled when given to children. It is the only way in which they will learn the values of life.
I have seen many times in my life where freedom is abused by children.
